@mayfairguru Peter that is your choice but if you think Uber are not doing the same you are very much mistaken, with them it's surge price. The only way to get a fare price is to use your feet and hand, walk out into the street and put your hand out and you'll pay the statutory set meter fare
@Councillorsuzie Sorry Susan I've followed you and hope you are elected but this is not great news we done this with PHV and look were we are overrun buy 140,000 and they share their license with family still assault passengers just another cash grab.
Who is going to regulate them
@NileGardiner Yes, but as always, there will be a queue of greedy lawyers ready to represent them on legal aid using our money this is the problem with today's Great Britain.
@Chrisbobfletch@TaximanLondon@neiljohnson1974@RuthCadbury Sensible? For the disabled child in that taxi, who may have to wait an hour to get home. Nutter driver, it's a London taxi do his job, ferrying people who can't get about without assistance, hardly going to be driving erratic with a wheelchair passenger. You are a disgrace.
@nearlylegal What do you expect the mayor was found guilty of corrupt and illegal practice a few years ago. The Hotel owners and B&B owners are probably friends and family
@Mark_J_Harper@Telegraph Great move but too late damage is already done.
You need to start removing them, for local business, disabled, venerable people at night trying just to get home safe and the safety of all residents who live on congested roads created by LTN's
@coltscabs If I was the driver he is now out of work, go get legal aid and take them to court you can't have one rule for one and one for another. Plus they haven't the money to loose any law suits
@FWyhowska The reason there 3000 few taxi drivers since January 21 is obvious. It's called COVID, and no new applicants or testing for almost 2 years as well as a £76,000 taxi with a 50 mile range. Apply yourself and work hard and Knowledge achievable in 2.5 years.
@DangleSpanners@TiceRichard@metpoliceuk You may be allowed to protest, but obstruction of a public highway is an offence. It's a mystery why the police allow so many offences to go unpunished. I agree they should be allowed to protest, but they are obstructing people going about their daily activities
@JQPubicPTIII Hate to say it but it wouldn't happen in France,Spain Italy . The Problem is our legal system Lawyers queueing up to defend them if police do anything all being payed by us through LegalAid.Police not allowed to do there job London, England is gone
@LDNTaxiMarshall Really sorry don't agree with this at all and believe that by legislation, the only extras we are allowed to put on are the one set out by TFL and shown in the back of our cab. These companies keep adding extras to a legislated pricing system. How are they getting away with this.
@TfL@CityWestminster Could someone please tell me why one lane in each direction of the Piccadilly underpass has been closed for at least 6 months with no work being done at all and no reason given
