@simonwiesenthal@LemkinInstitute If you used Lemkin's definition of genocide, rather than the one in thr Genocide Convention, and you read the evidence formally presented by South Africa, then you will inescapably conclude it is a genocide.
@DrSimEvans@neso_energy That is the right answer. It's probably closer to 10% from unabated gas, hydrogen, or the mythical gas with CCS than 5%. But who's counting!
@AlexTaylorNews The single market is designed to prevent trade barriers for countries in it. It isn't an objective of it to erect trade barriers with third countries.
@bergersmicer@hughmannwright@jdportes You said, "75% of immigrants deliver more on Tax/Spending than the typical UK resident." All I said, and I literally do not understand why you would take the continued hit to your reputatation to repeatedly defend it, is that this is incorrect.
@bergersmicer@hughmannwright@jdportes All I was saying was you were making a claim which was untrue. You conceded this yesterday. Your claim is not any more true today. Maybe you think my refutation of your lie was unimportant, and yes, you're entitled to that opinion.
@bergersmicer@hughmannwright@jdportes Yes, JP gets it right, and DT is wrong, but you were also wrong. I felt it useful to correct your misstatement. How am I the bad guy?
@hughmannwright@bergersmicer@jdportes I was interested to compare with Skilled Worker visas, where we allow the salary to be slightly below UK average only for those jobs on the immigration salary list. (But then most low paid immigrants are often spouces of those skilled workers.)
@hughmannwright@bergersmicer@jdportes I certainly agree with that. We just don't know at the moment where the cutoff is. It is more likely than not to be closer to 25th than to 50th.
@rohantalbot@jdportes Genocide requires intent not just results. You provided no evidence of intent. Until you can show that, it is just war crimes and crimes against humanity, and not genocide.
@jdportes@rcolvile@CPSThinkTank Surely the market solution to this problem as stated is not to try to prevent low-wage migration, but instead to increase taxes on low-wage immigration?
@TheNewsAgents@jonsopel@lewis_goodall You clearly haven't read about https://t.co/Hy304QP9N9 ... it's not to say if a party has majorities in both the house and senate that there can't be shenanigans. But the opportunity for a VP without that to influence things is now zero.
@Jodisacrebleu @drjanaway @Mixturefake1t @jk_rowling@SwipeWright I don't think 5-ARD or PAIS DSDs should be able to enter women's boxing. But why should CAIS or Swyer Syndrome DSDs be excluded? They had no benefit from testosterone.
@SeeDeeMcLeod@Nigel_Farage Three points. HMRC let you keep some of the VAT under the flat rate scheme. Allowable business expenses reduce the corporation tax. If he uses capital distributions instead of dividends, it will likely be 10% capital gains tax instead of income tax.
