Won't have many better days of bird finding than the Lanceolated and Pallas's Grasshopper Warblers @_danielowen Jack Morris and I found on Shetland today. Couldn't really ask for much better views of the Lancy, or the PGW as it fed in the burn! Pics JM
@reuben_veal1 Cheers! Haven't really had a chance to settle in and find a patch but got to be lots of potential for finding stuff. Not as much as you on North Ron mind!
A fantastic start to a new chapter in Scotland with an unusual combination of mammal lifers yesterday: Mountain Hare in the Cairngorms and two Fin Whale in the Firth of Forth!
Excellent day out in Norfolk with @Gunnynaturalist , with the superb Eastern Subalpine Warbler at Holme and then the White Stork at NWT Rushmeadows, devouring frogs before flying to roost.
@keith_langdon@Gunnynaturalist @MikeHoit @VannaBartlett1 Well that's exciting! I didn't even realise, although I did think it was spending a suspiciously long time in the hole🤣
An excellent few weeks' birding and bee-ing, with patch ticks including inland Rock Pipit and nocmig Common Scoter over Bowthorpe, the Coues's Arctic Redpoll at West Raynham with @Gunnynaturalist and then @keith_langdon's Grey-backed Mining Bees in Norwich today!
