@EricLDaugh Reading and educating yourself would do you great help. Not everything needs to be a ploy for you to push off you xenophobic rants. Real people are dying
@Modizzo250@fidele_sebahizi@BasedMikeLee Why you worried about Rwanda. We are American citizens of Congolese descent. We might not have the freedoms afforded to other citizens of DRC in Congo, but this is America. We plan and will continue to exercise our constitutional rights.
@nicksortor@wcdispatch If you were as informed as you portray to be, you would know that you can’t deport us citizens nor legal residents without a reason. We exercised our 1st amendment right & will continue to do so. It sounds like you are the one who needs a free flight ticket to go educate yourself
@NzangaMobutu@sonaltessekyezu The 4 thousand individuals in DC on 4/20/2026 weren’t there to speak for all the Congolese people. They were instead there to speak for their brothers and sister who in in north and south kivu. Those who are being targeted & killed by the Kinshasa regime.
@sonaltessekyezu@BenjaminRoberts@DailyCaller You’re hatred and genocidal talking point no longer hold water. We the banyamulenge are Congolese. Before Congo became Congo, we were there and we will remain on our land that we’ve been in for the last 5 centuries.
OFFICIAL STATEMENT BY MAHORO PEACE ASSOCIATION AND ISOKO-USA
We wish to address the outcome and purpose of the peaceful protest held on April 20 in Washington
D.C., by Banyamulenge and Tutsi Americans of Congolese origin.
The demonstration was successful in bringing visibility to the ongoing humanitarian crisis facing
Banyamulenge and Tutsi communities in the eastern Democratic Republic of Congo.
Most importantly, it served its central purpose: to denounce, clearly and unequivocally, the ongoing genocide against Banyamulenge and Tutsi communities in democratic republic of Congo.
At the outset, we extend our sincere appreciation to President Donald J. Trump and his Administration for bringing attention to this crisis and for their continued efforts toward identifying a lasting solution. Such engagement provides hope for communities that have endured prolonged suffering.
We also value the opportunity we had in Washington to engage with relevant stakeholders and decision-makers. Through these exchanges, we were able to present the reality on the ground in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, where innocent civilians continue to face targeted violence, displacement, and
loss of lives at hands of President Tshisekedi.
We spoke on behalf of our families and loved ones who remain victims of this ongoing genocide.
We thank the local authorities and Police for giving us All necessary permits and their support.
Our messaging through speeches, posters, and public statements, consistently reflected our mission:
To raise awareness of ongoing humanitarian cris of monument proportion, to seek justice, and to call for an end to the violence.
We remain steadfast in our commitment to advocacy. We will continue to raise our voices for those who cannot, and to stand in solidarity with the victims.
The pain of our communities is real, and the urgency of this crisis cannot be overstated.
We call upon the international community to act decisively to end the atrocities, ensure accountability,
and support a path toward lasting peace
in the Democratic Republic of Congo.

Absolutely, please don’t miss most of those protesting are American citizens. They are peaceful. They are prayerful. They are also writing, calling, and meeting with their concerned US Senators and Representatives. They are behaving as responsibly citizens with a history of immigration. I see my Ukrainian descent neighbors in North Dakota do the same thing for their relatives back in Ukraine. These type of actions are what makes America a global leader.
Today, more than 4000 Congolese from all States came to Washington DC to denounce the targeted violence, the blockade, the human rights abuse and an unprecedented humanitarian crisis in Minembwe against the banyamulenge community. Over the last several months the Congolese army and the Burundian Army have decided to wipe out the Banyamulenge from the DRC map using every means possible including starving them to death. This is unacceptable in the 21st century. It is for situations like these that the UN charter was created in 1945. The international community should not sit idle while an entire community is being extinct due to thier ethnicity. Silence and inaction are irresponsibility. Enough is Enough
The Banyamulenge gather in Washington correctly calling out dictator Tshisekedi and the genocidal FDLR forces for carrying out another genocide in Africa's great lakes. I call on Presidents Tshisekedi and Ndayishimiye to immediately stop all violence and Implement the Washington Peace Accord. The problems in Congo require active enactment by the Congo- not blaming President Trump.
@NdalaNonon99036@TwirwanehoMoise we are where we are supposed to be. This is home and has been for centuries. Before Congo became Congo we were here and we will remain here. We are not here because of your welcome or well wishes. Nothing you personally or genocidal government of Kinshasa can do to change that!
@PaulMweru238435@InnocentNtezi1@UN You must have been banned from school because you lack the basic understanding of a 7 year old. Mulenge is our land. There is nothing you or the genocidal gov. can do
@Benediction_M07 @InnocentNtezi1@UN Long before Rwanda involvement, the DRC government was killing the Tutsis in Congo. We have been at war with the government since the 60s and this only ends with the government pledging not to kill its own citizens.
