The year is 1987 and President Dieter F. Uchtdorf is chief pilot of Lufthansa and serving as a stake president.
The Frankfurt Temple was set to be dedicated and President Uchtdorf was asked to give an interview on German national television for the occasion.
He delivered a masterclass.
Every Latter-day Saint can learn from his Spirit-guided responses to these common questions about the Church.
Take a listen (especially you German speakers):
The highlight of this week was definitely SUU’s MPA day on the Hill where @ClintonPMorris and I are part of this incredible program. Had a great time and we were even lucky enough to snag a pic with our pal @MikeLMower!
Unforgettable moments for Chairman Sepp Proell & the whole team of @oefb1904 @kencen today. Looking forward to Austria’ s first match in the 🇺🇸 in June 2026.
I am delighted about the launch of the new Congressional Austria Caucus—marking a historic step in strengthening our 🇺🇸🇦🇹 ties.
Thank you to co-chairs @RepGregMurphy & @RepRickLarsen for delivering personal messages at the kick-off. Capitol Hill was alive with the #SoundofMusic.
A great message from my good friend, Rabbi Sam Spector, about the hateful chants directed towards @BYU & members of @Ch_JesusChrist. 👇🏻 Let’s all try to be more like Rabbi Spector.
Wrapping up week 5 of this year's legislation session with Senator @mikemckellutah of Senate District 25 in Utah County. He served 8 years in the House before taking over my seat in the Senate in 2021. I still consider myself his favorite constituent!
@BrambleJim@mikekofoed@MikeLMower Honestly I love the 10:30am time and I think that is what our ward is supposed to have next year. I’ll tell you one thing. I really don’t miss the 1-4pm time. Remember those days? That was the time I remember having as a kid and sometimes it was getting dark when church ended.
@mikekofoed@MikeLMower 9am is the current time for my ward and my husband and I don’t mind it too much. However, getting two teenagers to praise the Lord at the 9am hour can be quite the challenge. Yet I can be grateful it has taught me the patience of Job. 11:30 am is their preferred time.😀
