@Dwriteway Those friends will eventually ask for advice and try to do what you do only to give up because they realized how much work it was.
Speaking from experience
@Budgetdog_ I started focusing on doing things I knew I could maintain for months at a time because it was simple and easy to do daily.
That will far outweigh big swings that you constantly miss
@ForgeWithJeremy Never understood this from people.
I took so much pride telling people I worked 2-4 hours a day and was making as much or more than them
Dont let someone else set a false standard
@MCovBrown This was me a few years ago.
You're too small for anyone to care so no one will notice anyway.
And those who do will follow you for a good reason
@CoachDanGo People will try to distract you from this in the micro (days/weeks) but after the results show in the macro (months and years) that's when everyone starts asking for advice
@theo_jil I've gotten to the point where I actually get excited to age because I know life will only get better. There are no peaks, just a constant upward trend
@ChrisWillx This is why I started taking walks or going on runs without any music or podcasts.
When you slow down the mind that's when your genius comes out
@SIGMAPROFESSOR This is why I have written habit and KPI trackers that gamify the system a bit for me
Nothing more addicting than seeing multiple days and weeks or even months checked off of consistently doing something
@barkmeta Been reminding myself that investing is inherently boring because its about following rules and principles
Doing more isnt always productive. What's productive is forward progress even if youre doing nothing
@AditiRajasthan Recipe for failure in all areas of life right there.
While my competition is losing sleep grinding every hour of the day I get more done and will outlast them because I sleep 8-9 hours soundly every night
@Dwriteway Value assumes you solved their problem on the spot which means they dont need you anymore
Clarity shows whats wrong but doesnt show the solution which is what they pay you for
@blakeaburge I'm the type of person that avoids conflict or tries to not ruffle feathers too much and its held me back in multiple ways until I realized nothing changed and I got happier when I just followed my path regardless of what others thought
@thejustinwelsh I get teased for living under a rock, especially with certain references that come from pop culture today...
As if I would care about any of that stuff lol. I have so much peace just focusing on myself and my family
