@sharon_wisner@FlynnUnbound There is a worrying trend these days for people to make you feel as if you should apologise for having knowledge, or apologise for having a skill. Reverse snobbery in a way.
@TonyDabell@mark_wootten@virginmedia After 24 years, I finally left Virgin Media for CommunityFibre a few weeks ago. £53 down to £21 p/m, and double the speed.
@kingjordofcots@OneiroMou I’ve heard that the BBC wanted the Barbican Hall in London, but it wouldn’t quite be finished on time. Harrogate heard, and offered their conference centre free of charge, so the BBC jumped at it!
@pizzahutuk I’ve just seen you’ve cancelled all the points I’ve built up by being a loyal customer for several years - by my reckoning I’ve lost out by about £60.
Was this publicised widely? I didn’t see it. Might be nice if you allowed a little latitude on this…?
@thameswater The meter outside my house, in the pavement, is for more than one property. How can I stop being charged for my neighbour’s water usage as well as mine? I’ve tried calling as well as using WhatsApp but so far none of your agents can help
@VeronicaPullen@iamtomskinner Haha….I shouldn’t need to. I work full time to earn my living - no chancellor should bring in something which will reduce my income by a substantial amount, and result in me losing probably 75% of my clients.
@VeronicaPullen@iamtomskinner I’m a self-employed music teacher and performing musician. If I have to charge VAT, I’ll either lose almost all
of my work by my lessons becoming 20% more expensive, or I’ll have to take a substantial pay cut by swallowing the VAT myself. Either way I’ll go bust.
@seatsixtyone I remember interrailing in 1995 when I was 16. There’s nothing quite like machine-gun toting passport control at 3am is there?!
Glad to hear it’s all so much smoother now.
