Peter Thiel ist nicht einfach „umstritten“. Peter Thiel hat die Demokratie öffentlich infrage gestellt. Er hat das Frauenwahlrecht kritisiert. Er finanziert rechte & autoritäre Politik. Er gehört zu den mächtigsten Tech-Investoren der Welt. Seine Firma Palantir arbeitet mit Geheimdiensten, Militärs & Sicherheitsbehörden zusammen. Und er investiert seit Jahren Milliarden, um politischen Einfluss auszuüben. Wer so jemanden auf „umstrittener Milliardär“ reduziert, verharmlost die Dimension seines Einflusses. Und dann ist da noch Jens Spahn. Ausgerechnet Jens Spahn hat über Jahre an exklusiven Treffen dieses Netzwerks teilgenommen. Jens Spahn. Der Mann, dessen politische Karriere von Maskendeals, Milliardenverlusten und bis heute offenen Fragen begleitet wird. Vielleicht sollte die Debatte deshalb nicht lauten, warum Spahn dort war. Sondern warum ein Spitzenpolitiker der CDU überhaupt so selbstverständlich Teil eines Netzwerks wird, das von einem der einflussreichsten antidemokratischen Akteure der westlichen Welt aufgebaut wurde. Und warum der ÖRR daraus die Geschichte eines „umstrittenen Milliardärs“ macht.

@_DavidMorrell Thanks! That's extremely interesting. I am especially interested in the question whether indigenous peoples saw those lights already centuries ago, so we can exclude modern technology as an explanation. F. e. this is the case with the Min-Min lights in Boulia, Australia.
