The Catcher in the Eye? It's not a JD Salinger typo! Check out one of my last papers from @UCSFMedicine entitled, The Catcher in the Eye: Stem Cells as a Therapeutic for Glaucoma. @AAOjournal#UCSFOphthalmology https://t.co/N6FV3PYEew
👨🏻⚕️Mr. Miguel Nunez @MiNunez95 took home the award for Best Medical Student Presentation✨for his findings on "Preclinical testing of AAV capsid transduction efficiency and specificity in ex vivo perfused human liver"👏👏👏
Wow, what a case from @ecvasti for @CPSolvers VMR! Pleasure to discuss with @SZKamal @lbphin
@danielkimdk and awesome summary of the case & teaching by @pri_athavale@AndreaAnampaG, here's a resource about neuro complications in liver tx:

Overall survival at 12 months at 67.2% (atezo+beva) vs 54.6% (#sorafenib) for #livercancer--the first therapy to improve survival since FDA approval of sorafenib 12 years ago. Enough for the important people in life to attend a graduation, a wedding, their first grandchild.
A very exciting study was just published in @NEJM showing that in patients with unresectable #HCC, a new treatment combination (#atezolizumab+#bevacizumab) resulted in better overall and progression-free survival than the current treatment #sorafenib! https://t.co/LwJA0RFnCf
