@FriedrichFiles@skdh According to their predictions in the report (STEPS), 37Gt current energy related CO2 production will be at 29Gt in year 2050. So my rough estimate of 500 ppm around 2050 sounds even more likely now.

I don't see anything positive on their page. And they have 2.9°C as the worst projection and according to latest UN's Emissions Gap Report it's likely 3.1°C.

We are currently close to 3 ppm/y and it's worse and worse. Projection is meaningless if it's not supported by significant changes.

This picture managed to capture a small avalanche in progress. The small white cloud in front of the brick red cliff is likely carbon dioxide frost dislodged from the layers above, caught in the act of cascading down the cliff.
