@usekernel@stably_ai "And with Kernel handling all browser infrastructure, Stably's engineers focus entirely on their core AI testing platform instead of managing browsers"
.@stably_ai uses kernel to build an ai-powered end-to-end testing platform.
by switching to kernel, they saw 333x faster cold starts and eliminated infra-caused test flakiness.
"we evaluated many options, and kernel is the only one that could deliver the performance all of our customers' test suites required." - jinjing liang, co-founder & ceo, stably
our team has certainly learned a LOT about how to scale chromium sandboxes in the cloud over the past year
the most important thing here is that iteration will happen
and yes of course, we are and always will be crazy fast
the trick that makes @usekernel fast: we pay the full 5-10s of starting chromium once, snapshot ram to nvme, and resume in ~30ms when a request lands.
from the outside it looks like a giant warm pool. under the hood it's mostly cold disk. wrote up how we got here.
