I watch a lot of HS and Travel Baseball and here’s what gets evaluated that most players/coaches/understand:
1. Catch Play - how do you treat “getting loose” before a game? Is there meaning to it or are you just throwing to throw….
2. Ground Balls between innings - 7-3-21
7 inn, 3 GBs/inn, 21 reps/game. How do you treat those? How are your throws?
3. On Deck Reps - What are you doing to prepare for your AB? You have three responsibilities. 1. Time the Pitcher, 2. Communicate w/base runners 3. Relay location to hitter. You’re not there to “get loose”
4. Response to Failure - how do you respond to a Strikeout, an error, a bad call, giving up a bomb?
5. Communication - Are you talking between pitches, directing cutoffs, helping teammates w/ pitcher tendencies, etc.
6. Competitiveness In Non Game Situations sprinting on and off the field, backing up bases, prep steps, moving with hitters tendencies, does every pitch matter?
These are the aspects of the game that are often taken for granted but make a huge difference for your evaluation.
@StarbaseBrewing@SpaceX Before we go to Mars on a mission lasting months, we will need to make sure our beer brewed successfully…perfectly planned @elonmusk
@IPONewsroom_ Coming out of “stealth” at 41b is like flying a kite in a thunderstorm…maybe it’ll return something someday, but it’s a lot of wasted capital
@rcandy24 Original travel ball was for the elites because local ball had only a few so they take a few across several areas to form a travel team to play other elites. This has morphed as talent drained from local leagues…I do agree though, generally there is enough competition locally
@nicksortor@LAGovJeffLandry “two groups”…insane for this to happen where it did, but nonetheless how will you respond? These “groups” need to be held accountable. Sad.
@BullTheoryio If only he had setup the right system to usher the money into those investments. Unfortunately, he was not doing it for the right reasons and with the right disclosure of risk…it doesn’t matter what it would been worth as he basically stole it to invest, hence why he’s in jail
@shiri_shh@zerohedge Ironically, it has a battery that can’t be recharged and dies after 24 hours…dealing with death again…hopefully people can let go of their loved ones and move on with their life
@JeffDuncan_@fairgroundsnola How much has he invested in the horse and the overall expenses to gain that $1.7m? $15k for a horse is great to win that much, but it’s not fair to leave out the costs that dwarf it.
@justinskycak I’ve recently started researching this vs some other similar products I’ve used with my kids in the past like ALEKS, AOPS, etc. Can you do a post regarding depth of material? I can see where concepts can get taught, digested, but is there a sacrifice on depth?
@homegymcoop While I like the targeting, wouldn’t you miss the opportunity to strengthen the wrist and supportive functions? I would figure overall you’d want everything to be in lockstep.
@claireforny@BernieSanders@RoKhanna Let’s pretend the billionaires only sell 2% of their holdings and finance the other. The impact will be tremendous to the 99% of others who hold retirement assets and smaller investors which won’t make up the gap in selling pressure. Now do this every year and try not to crash
