@chrissyfarr Interested. Have been advising digital health founders for the past couple of years on go-to-market strategy, partnerships, operations and more, and across clinic, home and virtual care settings.
With @CrossFit launching its Precision Care offering with https://t.co/TRlo83ICdf, I hope we see more next-generation primary care offerings at the intersection of fitness, health and healthcare.

Promoting physical activity, not exercise or fitness, should be a post-pandemic priority.
Movement is the goal — the kind that gets us off the couch and away from screens. Best case, it’s outside in nature.
📖 Ending Inactivity: https://t.co/AGsVgN5qMJ
It's time to shift the focus from fitness to fun, free, accessible physical activity for everyone.
sidewalks
bike lanes
run groups
hiking meetups
access to green space
community parks/courts
free/affordable youth sports
pick-up basketball, ultimate Frisbee, pickleball
It's easy to get caught up in all the wearables, biohacks, and health/fitness apps, but some things are tried and true:
- go outside
- take a walk
- avoid alcohol
- cut out sugar
- go to bed earlier
- drink more water
@JoeVennare What do you think the endgame is for Square? Developing more consumer-facing payment capabilities? Moving more into healthcare analytics/payments?
For all of us who are hyper focused on getting enough exercise and physical activity to live a healthy life, consider this message about the importance of doing the same for our mental health. https://t.co/2h9tfdc72r
@JoeVennare 💯 same goes for all of the optimizing gadgets (e.g. @whoop, @ouraring, etc) that overwhelm us with "performance" data. Empathy, accountability, personalization and daily support are most needed to help more people start sustainable fitness routines.
@JoeVennare@fittinsider How do they view potential conflicts in their portfolio? Many of these companies compete for the same customer (e.g. Tonal isn't just for strength training). Do they see each company as staying within a certain well-defined lane? How do they explain this to their founders/ceos?
@AMychkovsky Depending on company, seed rounds are too small. I’ve seen too many early-stage healthcare ventures underestimate their needs in the seed round and end up with seed extensions. The larger A rounds are more about achieving the next set of milestones vs. a huge valuation increase.
Whoop CEO Will Ahmed responds to Amazon's Halo:
- Amazon met w/Whoop under the guise of investing, then copied their design
- Halo makes users the product, collecting "naked images of us"
- Whoop won't invade user privacy
"Good luck Amazon"

Something to keep an eye on...
What will Peloton do with the secondary market for its bikes/equipment?
Currently, there's a Facebook group w/100K members wheeling and dealing all things $PTON.
The company's FAQ, buying a used bike is "is at your own risk."
