@Jason@NBAOfficial Game 3 Free-Throw Disparity in Knicks' 115-111 loss to the Spurs in Game 3. The Discrepancy: The Spurs shot 24 free throws in the second half alone compared to just 8 for the Knicks.
@brian_armstrong@elindinga AI model advancements, personal assistant revolution underway with openclaw, saas blowing up, BUT with that barrier to entry for software development collapsing and AI agents are really the perfect example of crypto native payments (x402). The metric is adoption > token prices
@thdxr This is SUCH a great point. I recently stumbled across the solution with advanced documentation techniques like ADRs, contracts, RFCs, changelogs, roadmaps, architecture docs, etc. These add time to 01, but net/net they make all the steps beyond 1 much easier.
Does the pen/pencil analogy hold up here?
"TypeScript is just JavaScript with stricter rules, so you catch mistakes before they become bugs. Think of TypeScript as writing in pen instead of pencil. You can't accidentally erase important details."
@novogratz Less sure about public views on wealth distribution & anti-elite movements. Don't mess with electing the @ZohranKMamdani is doing a great job of being terrible but I think real clarity on the issue only occurs when AI diffuses to other industries and we see job cuts
@novogratz Welcome to the rage economy:
Social media algos boost emotional content.
Sub-based outlets (Substack, YouTube, cable) thrive on loyal, fired-up audiences.
Polarization grows as creators & pundits are rewarded for extreme/confrontational takes.
@steipete i think because opus 4.5 was such a big breakthrough in december, everyone expected opus 4.6 to keep up their lead over codex, but openai had other ideas and codex seems better for everything other than evaluating a vague prompt and implementing a creative solution
@VittoStack because nobody cares about anything other than death scrolling on social media. maybe after agi and robots are running the world, we will reactivate our sense of art and taste as we sit around with nothing to do
@Jason i don't want to quibble over definitions, but i was not in your camp until i heard @DarioAmodei explain the concept of ai diffusion into other industries and that enterprise adoption will be fast but not as fast as model improvements
@priyanshi_kh what class are you taking? i was looking for a class myself. i built something with my extra ai credits from claude if you wanna check it out

@bcherny@big_duca there is absolutely no shortage of demand for software development and this is an opportunity to find better solutions and for humans to manage everything from their personal lives to the world's most complex companies and institutions
@novogratz Pre-AGI: niche knowledge highly valuable as it accelerates diffusion into other industries & AGI progress.
Post-AGI: liberal arts degrees regain relevance. When all are generalists, history, psych, & philosophy needed to fairly distribute abundance & optimally implement AGI.
@bytecodecrux@bcherny It's incredible & a key reminder of the internet's collective power. Frontier labs aren't black-boxed. They actively engage w/ the community to improve their products, showing real dedication to delivering the best possible AI.
