Leopold of Belgium ruled Congo as his private property for 23 years. He cut off the limbs of Congolese who did not meet their daily quota on the plantation. At the end of his rule, he had killed 15million Congolese people. But we are taught only about Hitler. 😭😭
If you’re a fan of Blur, Elastica, Pulp, or Oasis – this one’s for you.

@BritishGasHelp Hi Arun, account is in my wife’s name. She is expecting a call back from a manager. This has been on going for over 2 months and becoming increasingly frustrating
Thanks @BritishGas another day wasted. @BritishGasHelp unable to transfer to any department that can resolve and apparently there is only 1 manager/supervisor @BritishGas
So @BritishGas engineer turned up as scheduled and rang the bell, replied and asked him to wait a minute, got to the front door and he’d disappeared, left, vanished. Talking to @BritishGasHelp he was coming to change the wrong meter anyway. This has been going on for months.
Last weekend we had the honour and privilege to work with Stevie Young from @acdc and the genius @dansprigg who were recording and producing a couple of our songs at @Albion_Rooms_ We are so unbelievably thrilled with how the results are sounding. This is big!

@RishiSunak It’s crucial that your statement tomorrow supports live music. 210,000 people rely on concerts and festivals for employment, but we’ll be one of the last sectors to open. The UK’s live music industry is world-beating. Without support, it won’t survive #LetTheMusicPlay
The UK entertainment industry is in crisis, theatres and live music venues must be allowed to re-open before the doors will be forced to close forever to so many venues - this MUST be prevented! #LetTheMusicPlay#musicindustry#livemusic
