Somewhere along the way, startups got it in their heads that the way to take care of employees is to throw amenities at them.

There's more demand for Product Marketers than ever, but for the wrong reasons imo.

In reality this is just founders avoiding two real problems:

a) the product is not differentiated
b) the people building it have no taste

PMMs cannot fix this.
