Found that if I'm bad at something and want to get good at it (coding, writing, working out) it helps to start at 100 and count backwards. I expect to have 100 bad attempts. So the first attempt is 100, the second is 99, the third is 98. Seems to rewire my expectations, reduce frustration and allow me to practice in peace.

I hate that every time I suit up as a Green Lantern, instead of getting called "hero" or "man of the people", I start hearing abominations like "corper", "corper wee", and "omo ijoba".
