@tooprettyvic@StefanieHardman@JeremyLoveday @SarahPottsH @isitt_ @deardubow Spare us the drama. Every one of these councillors got elected. Go organize and sign up some voters rather than complaining in everyone’s Twitter feeds.
@HegemonicRabbit @StefanieHardman Sry bud, claiming to be formerly homeless doesn’t give you license to spout all of the familiar stereotypes and narrowly frame the conversation however it suits you. An election is coming, and that’s where democracy works. Trolls should vote and keep their venom to themselves.
@vicpdcanada@vicpdcanada "Who's next?" is quite possibly the creepiest thing I've ever seen on your Twitter account. Stop terrorizing the poor. #DefundPolice
@BC_Housing Landlord BC says $1000/mo needed to cover most rents in BC. Not that BC NDP should be dishing out bigger subsidies to cover LL’s extortionate, housing crisis-era rents, but don’t you think renters need help based on their actual financial needs?
#CancelRent#RentAmnesty
😒Rent Assistance: Landlord bailout that puts the burden on the tenant to apply. Not universal.
😃Rent Cancellation: No payments, no late fees, no debt. Relief for some property owners, conditioned on tenant protections. Universal. #CancelRent

Hey @KKR_Co, your Environmental, Social, Governance (ESG) Responsible Investment Policy, and commitment to the @UN_SDG goals doesn't seem to fit with kicking the Wet'suwet'en hereditary chiefs off their territory by investing in @CoastalGasLink's pipeline. Care to explain?
@KKR_Co, why are you funding the Coastal GasLink pipeline construction during a pandemic? Terminate your pending purchase with @TCEnergy and respect the rights of the Wet’suwet’en hereditary chiefs! #WetsuwetenStrong
Wet’suwet’en hereditary chiefs are being removed from their land so @TCEnergy can build the Coastal GasLink pipeline, despite having rights and title to the land since time immemorial. @KKR_Co, is it typically your policy to invest in Indigenous rights violations..? #ShutDownKKR
@mikeinyvr@YVRTenantsUnion And what is the avg rent in Vancouver?
Tally up the CERB & provincial benefits, subtract the housing crisis-era rents most ppl were already saddled with + other basics like food, hydro, & transport, and consider that most renters have less than 2 weeks’ savings.
Still enough?
@goodmanreport@georgiastraight “...the pace of business is actually healthy...”
There’s nothing healthy about making money on survival necessities like shelter when there’s a housing crisis going on.
@jjhorgan Again @jjhorgan. Please say something. We are your constituents, speak up! What are you doing to END homelessness? Don’t you realize the urgency of this?
@jjhorgan@jjhorgan End homelessness now!
It hurts to hear "stay home" over and over when you don't have a home, or your home is at risk because BC hasn't moved on a rent/mortgage suspension.
Please, say something about that!
@BC_Housing@saanich Rent moratorium now! Renters should not be taking on debt in a time of crisis. Corporate landlords and big banks should be made to bear the losses, not tenants living paycheque to paycheque and working homeowners.
@DPPlumbingGas @JeremyLoveday More importantly: will we be able to make “transient” accommodations permanent?
@DPPlumbingGas’s overriding concern with protection of property is sadly the status quo, and exactly what we need to break with by ensuring housing for all, in perpetuity, as priority #1.
