Elderly relatives alone for Christmas. Last goodbyes with loved ones behind perspex sheets. Seeing grandchildren for the first time over Zoom. These are the sacrifices we made and why we can’t ‘move on’. CC: @harrietharman#NotLikeMyLockdown
This image of the PM partying is made up of photos of people who stayed home to save lives - many making huge sacrifices to do so. The contrast couldn’t be more stark. We’re not ready to “move on” from Partygate.

@alisonleary1@Yanarichens You have twice allocated unheld views to me here. I said nothing against addressing fears. But as COVID kills it’s a faustian choice between no carer and infected carer. And vaccination does reduce transmission and hence prevalence. No jab no job.
@alisonleary1@Yanarichens Options? What ‘option’ does a care home resident have? Sit/lie there being wafted with Omicron because their carer is scared of a vaccine? Prioritising the personal over social responsibility is repulsive. Needs calling out.
3. The data analysis will happen in February and March. We aim to have the results of the study available in Spring 2022 and look forward to sharing them with you at the earliest opportunity. @NIHRresearch@The_MRC@UKRI_News
COVID-NURSE Trial: We did it!
1. Absolutely delighted to say we hit our recruitment target today. Thanks to all 581 patients who agreed to be part of our trial, the 418 nurses, the dedicated 14 local NHS teams who put in so much effort, and Exeter CTU 🎯

Some will argue we should stop invading pristine habitats, others that mucking about with genes in labs is nono. They are not mutually exclusive views. COVID is a human engineered disaster whether lab or environmentally caused. But it was a lab wot did it
