"That wasn't real Socialism" is a state of mental denial, a way to avoid a simple truth: Socialism requires coercion which inevitably leads to tyranny. There is no freedom in Socialism, only servitude to the interests of ideologues and bureaucrats, to the Party and the State.

Congratulations to @elonmusk and the SpaceX team. You did what countless people said was impossible, and you did it time and time again.
Today is your day. You deserve this. May it be a glorious one.
In awe of SpaceX and its story - past, present and the future. You can think about it in 10+ different ways and continue re-blowing your mind in circles. Huge congrats to the team! 🚀
It's fascinating to watch all of these liberals crying about trillions without having ANY sense of the value creation and the REASONS Elon is worth what he's worth
It's all just narratives and theater to divide people and get people to hate success and wealth creation so they spend their lives begging for handouts, pointing the finger blaming anything or anyone other than themselves, staying perpetually stuck in a victim mentality
If you think higher taxes and wealth distribution is going to save you, you're already dead
I could not support capitalism and the ability to become a trillionaire any harder
Fable 5 estimates that Musk employs a half million direct and indirect people in the US connected to businesses he created paying in $5-7B+ into SS. Bernie knows this but chooses to distort reality to create villains and divide our country
I couldn’t care less about what career politicians like AOC and Bernie think about Elon becoming a trillionaire. My life is worse because of career politicians and better because of Elon Musk’s products.
My Tesla doesn’t need oil changes, I can charge at my house. I’ve saved tons of money owning a Tesla. It’s fun to drive.
When my home in Wyoming was being built, internet lines weren’t an option. Starlink saved the day and now I have perfect internet in the mountains.
So for any journalist or politician complaining he’s now a trillionaire, I kindly tell you to piss off.
NEWS: Founders Fund turned a $600 million bet on SpaceX into more than $50 billion.
Peter Thiel's Founders Fund was the first institutional investor in SpaceX. It put in about $600 million across several rounds over nearly 20 years.
At the $135 $SPCX IPO price, that roughly 3% stake is worth more than $50 billion, Bloomberg reports. It is one of the great venture bets of all time.
Founders Fund is not alone. Bloomberg says Valor Equity holds about 4% worth nearly $70 billion. Andreessen Horowitz sits on more than $10 billion.
Thiel saw it coming. "I would never bet against Elon in anything." Hard rule number one in Silicon Valley.
ELON MUSK: "It is certainly hard to believe that little company that started in a warehouse in El Segundo is now going public. It was the largest IPO ever, and let me tell you, if people had told me this was gonna happen, I was like, man, you must be smoking some really good crack, because I think this company is gonna fail. I gave SpaceX less than a 10% chance of succeeding at all. To be clear, in fact, I told people this. I said, look, we’re probably going to fail, but you know, should give it a try, because if we don’t, if there’s not a new company that enters space, we will never be a truly space-bearing civilization."
The Globe is owned by Canada's richest oligarch, David Thomson, worth $82 billion. His source of wealth? He inherited it: https://t.co/qxm3HAtCxg
The Thomsons are grifters who take the government media subsidy.
Oh -- and they think you should hate Elon Musk for being rich. 👇
The most shocking thing from a Japanese perspective is not the crimes themselves.
It is that British people are being turned into second-class citizens in their own homeland — and they are still expected to stay polite about it.
Grooming gang victims were ignored for years.
Now, after another attempted beheading, the same pattern: downplay the attacker, crack down on anyone who gets angry.
You have elections. You have a military. You have history.
Yet your leaders continue importing the exact people who are destroying your safety, and most of you still say nothing.
In Japan, this would be considered an invasion. And we would respond accordingly.
Britain, you are running out of time to remember what it means to defend your own.
Outrage over the death of Henry Nowak does not make you a racist. Condemning violence and demanding justice should never be dismissed as prejudice. We need to say that loudly and clearly.
The media has stretched "far-right extremism" so far that it now covers almost anything they disagree with
They’ve changed the definition. It used to mean neo-Nazis. Now it means parents at school boards, people who want secure borders, or anyone who rejects modern progressive orthodoxy
Real far-right extremism... the violent, fringe kind....is extremely rare. But the media inflates the term so aggressively that actual extremism gets buried under mountains of propaganda labeling normal opinions as dangerous
This isn’t sloppy journalism. It’s a deliberate strategy: expand the definition of "extremist" until half the population is in the category. Then you can justify censorship, deplatforming, and social punishment while turning people against each other
@martin__julius@mxw1n@unusual_whales Of course there is no free lunch. People worked hard in a very valuable company. They aren't lazy, whining Communists. They'll pay a lot of taxes though.
Btw, many Silicon Valley startups pay with employee stock options and create millionaires when they do IPO, this is not new.
