@MrNQDC Way over simplified. Doesn’t account for actual inflation over decades (not cpi). Even if tax brackets stay the same (unlikely with current federal debt) inflation is going to make you pull out more for the same lifestyle pushing you into higher tax brackets
@SteveOnSpeed Or just work the math backwards and know how much you need to have to live from age 60-90. Then focus on growing the brokerage/bridge account to fund an early retirement
@andyantiles_ That’s an interesting way to say you don’t understand risk tolerance or financial situational awareness. Overspending is the obvious problem. Investing doesn’t make you rich. It keeps you rich
@Teambruce@KurtSupeCPA You don’t have to pay taxes on it all, you just rollover the remainder to an Ira. But you lose age 55 exemption/only get one shot at it
@money_cruncher This is great assuming tax brackets stay the same. even if they do, price inflation will likely force them to withdrawal more to cover the same lifestyle. Over simplified example
@therealjayber Agreed. Here is philosophical question though, as the “alpha” who spreads his seed far and wide, would you be okay if you put another man in this situation by sleeping with his wife and getting her pregnant? Do you have any responsibility for that?
