When one community keeps its own rules and its own courts while everyone else is expected to live under one law, that is not integration. That is two systems sharing the same postcode.

The NDIS just punished one of the main whistleblowers in our series by cutting some of his core disability support funding by 90%.

Meanwhile the fraudster who stole hundreds of thousands of dollars from his plan - Marcia De Menezes - is still allowed to operate.

She even recently received Australian citizenship despite remaining under active investigation regarding the death of a severely disabled 16 year old who committed suicide after severe neglect in her care.

She’s morally responsible for the death of a child and stole hundreds of thousands of dollars from Rick’s NDIS plan. Yet the government punishes Rick rather than Marcia. They punish the victim rather than the criminal.

I’m not saying Albo’s a fruit loop, or a fruit cake – just that his crass and tiresome housing commission humour has come off like a culturally inappropriate cameo in a world that’s moved on.

I’m not offended by his melon gestures – I’m offended by his off-leash Treasurer mauling taxpayers with politely named reforms that claw around in the grit and fluff between the seams of our pockets.

I’m offended by the Prime Minister’s machete-surrender-bin-esque ‘gun buyback’ scheme and the ‘Royal Commission into Everything Except Islamic Terror’ which will rid us of precisely zero zealots.

What offends me most is that it’s very likely our democracy will be voted into destruction by a generation of indoctrinated kids who think freedom is fascism and communism is a comfy ‘Netflix & Chill’ lifestyle.

The sort of children who are lured from school and out onto the streets to cry about the weather, or Palestine, or Pauline.

Children who quite literally cannot define the cause that has brought them to the point of chanting for political violence and the incarceration of other Australians who vote differently to them.

One Nation didn’t take Secret Harbour because the voters suddenly discovered Pauline Hanson.

They took it because Luke Herdegen owns five gyms. He signs the leases, meets payroll, and talks to the same people who live in the electorate every week. He has actual skin in the game.

You put up Georgia Tree: uni degree, Labor member since 2013, staffer to a federal minister, then a government-relations job at Woodside. Classic conveyor belt. Campus politics → staffing gig → “safe seat” as the prize. She’d never had to risk her own money or look a customer in the eye when the bills came due.

That model is finished. The public is done with professional politicians who treat electorates like career stepping stones. They want candidates who come from the same risks the rest of the electorate takes.

Carl Menger published *Grundsätze der Volkswirtschaftslehre* in 1871, and the economics profession has never fully recovered from ignoring it.

Menger didn't tinker at the margins of classical economics. He demolished the labor theory of value that had infected economic thought since Adam Smith and reached its toxic conclusion in Marx. Value doesn't originate in the hours a worker spends hammering nails. Value originates in your mind, in the mind of the individual who wants something.

This is the theory of subjective value, and it is devastatingly simple. A glass of water in Vienna costs almost nothing. That same glass in the Sahara is worth everything you own. The water didn't change. The labor to produce it didn't change. What changed is the human situation surrounding it.

Menger built his entire analysis on "goods of higher and lower order," tracing how consumer goods satisfy wants directly, while capital goods satisfy them indirectly through production chains. A sawmill (higher-order good) produces lumber, which produces your house. The value of the sawmill derives from the value you place on the house. Causation runs backward from consumer to producer, not forward from raw materials to finished product.

This single reversal demolished socialist economic planning before the Soviet Union even existed. Prices communicate real human valuations across an entire economy. Menger proved this in 1871. Central planners still haven't read the memo.

Fixing Australia's Migration Intake - By The Numbers

What would it take to get it to under 120k per year, based on the 2024-25 intake?

- Parent visas which are huge net cost to the taxpayer no longer issued, 8.5k reduction in the intake.

- Zero net migration from student visa holders, as existing visa holders return home and pathways are focused on university education with no guarantee of a graduate visa unless an individual is top notch and/or in a vital industry (medicine etc).

- Reduce the intake of working holiday visa holders so that its effectively zero in net terms, accounting for those who hop to other visas and factoring that into the calculation.

That leaves us with a totally normal skilled intake, otherwise normal family intake, normal refugee intake and an overall net intake of 117.6k per year.

The universities are completely unimpacted, although further reforms would be desirable.

Australia would still be left with one of the largest international education sectors in per capita terms in the developed world.

And we would still be getting the skilled workers we actually need from offshore.

The intake could also be further rebalanced by removing incentives for migrants to use New Zealand as a back door, allowing a further expansion of the skilled/partner/child intake by up to 25k per year as flows normalized to decade average levels prior to the Albanese government's changes made it more attractive to come here.

There would certainly need to be some fine tuning surrounding balancing out the student intake in particular, but I suspect that without the incentive of staying for a large proportion of students, the intake would actually significantly undershoot.

This has been seen in the U.K as elements of the incentive base have been removed.

There would naturally be a fiscal impact on the budget, but that would be significantly mitigated by the fact the removal of costly parent visas and the fact that the individuals not being admitted are generally lower earners.

Productivity growth would also be enhanced as the skilled intake would take up a much greater overall proportion of migration and the university students who did stay on to gain permanent residence would be top tier individuals.

BREAKING: A South Sudanese national identified only as GNHW bashed a triple amputee Australian with the victim’s own crutch, 77 times to the head.

He pinned the man’s only remaining limb so he couldn’t defend himself.

The brutal attack lasted 4 minutes 51 seconds in Dandenong, Victoria.

The judge called it a shocking assault on a defenceless, vulnerable victim.

Then turned around and only sentenced him to 24 months jail.

His “Humanitarian” visa was cancelled.

Then Tony Burkes NZYQ directive put this South Sudanese man back on the street on a bridging visa.

Since his release, police have interviewed over an alleged sexual assault and an alleged theft.

He was ordered to abstain from alcohol but started drinking again within a day.

He has a history of grabbing a female officers by the neck and trying to headbutt staff.

Now the Federal Court has ordered the tribunal to reconsider giving him a “protection visa”

The argument?

“Visa stress”

Lawyers say a restrictive bridging visa makes him “more of a risk” to Australians.

A permanent protection visa would reduce stigma, open uni loans, and potentially NDIS support, and that, they say, would help rehabilitation.

Sound familiar? Well it should, this is the second case like this in a fortnight.

A Sierra Leone man convicted of indecently assaulting a 16 year old boy used the same “visa stress” line.

Can’t send him back to South Sudan.

Why? That’s where he is from.

So, the system is being asked to upgrade the visa of a violent South Sudanese offender because cancelling it might stress him.

Tony Burke’s office had this to say: “the visa was cancelled by the department, so that’s why it’s in court” knowing full well he has the ultimate power to overrule it.

Opposition Home Affairs Minister, Jonno Duniam: “stop treating these as one offs”

Ask whether the Migration Act, NZYQ and the tribunal now have a systemic hole.

If risk of reoffending is why you cancel the visa, then the stress of that cancellation becomes the reason to give it back.

That is insane.

Only a Home Affairs Office being run by Tony Bourke can be this incompetent.

Peter Dutton would have sent him packing on the first flight out.
