Welcome to Socialism
Mayor Mamdani with fanfare released a list of 960,000 owners of real estate in New York City that have been determined they could owe the pied a terre tax because NYC computers have determined they own what was billed as a market value of $5 million or more.
Now there are only about 1 million residential tax lots in New York City so the first question is how did virtually every owner get put on the list?
The answer is that you are subject to the tax in the first two years if your property has a “DOF valuation” of over $1 million. And so the $5 million figure was a fake. The DOF system is obviously massively flawed as it has dragged in almost a million property owners that meet the threshold.
Now, here is the interesting part — once you are on the list you have to prove you should not be taxed by showing you are a resident. Or by challenging the valuation. Good luck fighting the city bureaucrats on both of these counts. The individual litigation will be massive.
It does not take more than a New York minute and Google Maps to see that many of these properties would never sell for $5 million. Pick a few. The whole housing sector will also be dragged down by the additional annual taxation. Add a tax of 4 to 6 per cent (yes condos are taxed that high now) a year of its DOF value to a condo or coop and that condo won’t be worth that much. And you can forget about out of town buyers. So this will destroy much of the home values that people have built up. People who have invested in New York.
Many of these folks might have a mortgage and may in fact not have they much equity in the property. The tax-the-rich taxman does not care about that. An unexpected $50,000 annual bill for a condo with a DOF value of a million now has the cost of a second mortgage on top of all the expenses.
The idea of the tax was basically to create massive taxation without representation. The people being taxed — non residents — by definition don’t vote and so the political genius was to create and discriminate against a class of people who do not vote. That by itself might be unconstitutional. And they also don’t use the schools, much garbage, much of any of the city’s services. So taxing them actually makes little sense as you drive away people who were contributing but not using the services.
Now many will recall that persecutions frequently begin with a list — a list that can be used by the authorities and that is where Mamdani started — and he published it to boot. And smiled about it as though those high-value owners deserve what’s coming to them.
But with a million people on his tax hit list, welcome to the lie of socialism - it starts with the idea that only “they” are going to get it — a small group of 30,000 homeowners — and before you know it you are on the list.
Sheryl Gay Stolberg gets it wrong again. Repeatedly describing these documents as Dr. Fauci’s “private diaries” is inaccurate and misleading.
These were not personal journals. They were government records created on a government computer by a federal employee during one of the most consequential public health emergencies in history.
Under federal law, these documents belong to the American people.
Precision matters. Stolberg’s mischaracterization has predictably fueled outrage among Democrats, who have denounced @SenRandPaul's release of Dr. Fauci’s “private diaries.”
According to this DARPA document dated August 13th, 2021, they knew at that time:
- Covid came from a lab
- That the mRNA 'vaccines' worked "poorly"
- That ivermectin worked (since April 2020)
- That hydroxychloroquine worked (ditto)
DARPA informed the Inspector General, and all parties chose to say nothing to the public about any of it.
Let that sink in...
In November 1910, six men boarded a private train car in New Jersey under strict secrecy.
They used only first names. They claimed they were going duck hunting.
Their real destination: the exclusive Jekyll Island Club off the coast of Georgia.
The men were:
• Senator Nelson Aldrich — powerful Rhode Island Republican and chairman of the National Monetary Commission
• A. Piatt Andrew — Assistant Secretary of the Treasury and Harvard economist
• Henry P. Davison — senior partner at J.P. Morgan & Co.
• Frank A. Vanderlip — president of National City Bank of New York (Rockefeller-linked)
• Paul M. Warburg — partner at Kuhn, Loeb & Co. and expert on European central banking
• Arthur Shelton — Aldrich’s private secretary
For roughly a week they worked in isolation at the clubhouse. The result was the Aldrich Plan — a blueprint for a central banking system with regional branches.
The plan itself never became law. Political opposition was too strong. But three years later, many of its core ideas were rewritten into the Federal Reserve Act of 1913, signed by President Woodrow Wilson.
The meeting stayed secret for years.
When it finally came to light, the combination of private bankers, a secluded island, and deliberate deception became one of the most debated origins stories in American financial history.
A private train. First names only. One week on a barrier island. The foundation of the Federal Reserve.
What do you think — was this just smart financial planning… or the most successful power grab in American history?
Good News! In addition to the Historic DECLASSIFICATIONS (Transparency!) by the President, we are, this morning, Executing a 5th and Near Final Round of TERMINATIONS, an approximately 30% Staff Reduction from Weeks Ago. The Intelligence Community must protect the American people, NOT the political whims of the bloated and corrupt elite class.
Fauci says Trump took Remdesivir while in the hospital. Recall that Fauci had earlier warned against this drug for Covid on grounds that it has no benefit in previous uses and could be toxic. Draw your own conclusions.
April 23, 2020 was the day Trump told Birx:
"You and Fauci have destroyed the country and the economy. I should never have listened to you. You have completely destroyed us."
Fauci told Birx: "we are OK and at the end of the day she and I will be loved by the people."
What can I even say to sum up the last six weeks?
Without a doubt, it’s been the trip of a lifetime. I’ve seen and experienced things I never dreamed of.
Throughout this journey I kept hearing the phrase “America the Beautiful.” At first I thought it was about the landscapes, and yes, this country is unbelievably beautiful.
But for me, “America the Beautiful” is actually about you, the people.
I’ve never experienced such warmth and kindness anywhere else in the world. Everywhere we went, people welcomed us with open arms, invited us into their communities, shared their stories, wanted to hear ours, and surprised us with their generosity.
I get you have your differences but please don’t take each other for granted. This doesn’t exist everywhere. What you have here is special, and being American is special.
To everyone I met along the way, thank you!!
To everyone who’s followed this adventure here on X, thank you for coming along for the ride. It’s been an absolute joy sharing these memories with you all.
And to everyone who’s sick of seeing my posts…you can finally relax 😂
Goodbye, America 🇺🇸
@HedgieMarkets I’ve asked the SpaceXAI team to preserve any rare books in a library and scan them the hard way vs just cutting off the spine and scanning
1/ Before Tony’s diary, there was the prequel. I'm releasing Fauci's own 465-page historical record of events from 2001 to 2015 — his personal account of building the federal biodefense complex and the classified access that came with it.
REVEALED: Here Are the Mainstream Journalists on China’s Payroll 🚨
I exclusively uncovered the identities of prominent U.S. journalists flown to China by a CCP-linked influence operation seeking “favorable coverage” and “positive messages” about Beijing. 🧵
DAMN. In early 2020, Fauci recorded in his diary how much he was able to make the stock market drop with his lie that covid was 10x more deadly than the flu.
At the same time, in the same diary, he wrote that covid wasn't any more deadly than the seasonal flu.
While he was going on TV saying the opposite to terrify the public into shutting down the economy.
It was all a lie designed to take out Trump's most formidable weapon for reelection: his booming economy.
I join @ColonelTowner for part 5 of our review of the Anglo-American consortium the Pilgrims Society.
Today's featured Pilgrim is Winston Churchill, who simply can't be done in a single episode. We trace his early life through the onset of World War 1 and find that he's one of the major instigators that helped start what should have been an avoidable war.
We close with the REAL reasons that war was not avoided. It's not what you were taught in school.
