@stevemagness The issue is not VAR but the fact that rules are so open to interpretation. Whether it’s referees or VAR officials it’s always one persons view not a black or white decision. The push by Harland, the penalty overturned etc.

@stevemagness Regardless of whether it touched or not, it could have benefited either team. England had to cover half the pitch and Norway had plenty of chance to defend it. Saying this is evidence of corruption is farcical and I’m no fan of FIFA

@stevemagness @RPMComo Steve, you are conflating two things. Yes FIFA is corrupt and yet it has clear rules that every country accepts, flawed as they are. You can’t play in a competition and THEN query a rule you don’t like (even if a red card wasn’t deserved)

@stevemagness Not like you to generalise @stevemagness ! Yes to the first point, given I’m 58 and still pushing my limits (2.51.00 PR a few weeks ago). Partial yes to point 2 - most runners around you are going for a similar goal (sub 2.50 or 2.45 in my case). No to point 3. Recovery only!!

@DavidDack Likely not a popular view but sub 20. Under 25 is reasonable but not "good". Any recreational runner willing to train 5-6 times a week can achieve that within 12-18 months IMO
