@EcoEvoEvoEco I am with you! I have been banging this into my students heads on type 1 versus type 3 analyses in R for years. There is also the issue of setting the contrasts so that the type 3 analyses work properly.

OK fish heads. What's your opinion on the best shark paper for upper-level undergrads/grads? I like something relatively short that either (a) they can understand or (b) I can explain in 10-15 minutes. It can't be so dense that I have to give 20-30 minute lecture on the method
