🚨 Arrest Made After Downtown Sioux Falls Shooting

Sioux Falls Police have arrested an 18-year-old following a shooting Wednesday afternoon near 300 S. Duluth Avenue.

According to investigators, a disagreement escalated when the suspect allegedly pulled a handgun and fired at another person. The victim was not injured, but a bullet struck the window of a nearby apartment. Fortunately, no one inside the apartment was hurt.

Police later located the suspect and recovered multiple hidden firearms, including the 9mm handgun believed to have been used.

David Stephen Voney Jr., 18, of Sioux Falls was arrested on multiple charges, including:
• Aggravated Assault
• Fleeing
• Obstruction
• Contributing to the Delinquency of a Minor
• Possession of a Stolen Firearm

The investigation remains ongoing.
