Great to bring GPT 5.5 Instant to M365 Copilot today.
With quicker, clearer, and more accurate responses, you can get to useful answers with less back and forth.
Also rolling out to Copilot Studio and Foundry. All part of our focus on providing you more model choice across work, agents, and apps.
NASA pays $100M for Microsoft 365 licensing across the agency. They standardized every system on Microsoft. They put Microsoft Surfaces on the Orion spacecraft as the crew's personal computing devices.
And the first technical crisis of humanity's return to the Moon was Reid Wiseman radioing Houston to say he has two Microsoft Outlooks and neither one works.
Mission Control's response? "With your go, we can remote in and take a look." The same exact workflow your company's IT helpdesk uses when you submit a ticket on a Monday morning. Except the user is traveling at 4,275 mph, 30,000 miles from Earth, and the Wi-Fi situation is considerably worse.
This spacecraft survived hydrogen leaks, helium leaks, a faulty heat shield, and a broken toilet. Outlook broke anyway. The toilet actually got fixed faster.
The real story here is that Microsoft has achieved something no other software company in history can claim: a support ticket from lunar transit. Their enterprise sales team should frame this. "Battle-tested in space" is a positioning statement most B2B companies would mass murder for, and Microsoft accidentally earned it because Outlook crashes everywhere, including orbit.
Outlook remains the only software in human history that performs identically whether you're in a cubicle in Redmond or aboard a spacecraft bound for the Moon. Universally, reliably broken. And we keep buying it anyway.
30 years as an F1 fan. The last races broke something.
Qualifying should have me on the edge of my seat. Instead I watched Alonso, Verstappen, Norris and Leclerc stand at the microphone looking genuinely defeated. That says everything.
We want screaming engines. Slipstream battles at 300km/h. Overtaking decided by courage and setup — not by who managed their battery best.
Porsche ignored their fans and pushed electric. Nobody wanted it. Nobody bought it. F1, you are making the exact same mistake.
The drivers warned you. The fans warned you. You went ahead anyway.
And the timing makes it worse. Mercedes did the work, played by the rules, and built the best system. Rewarding that with a rule reversal is also not fair. You might as well hand them the next 5 championships and call it done.
Give us racing back. The kind that made us fall in love with this sport in the first place.
@F1 the 30-year fans are still here but at moment no words for what I am looking at.
Microsoft will auto-enable passkey profiles in Microsoft Entra ID!
Starting in March 2026, Microsoft Entra ID will introduce passkey profiles and synced passkeys to General Availability (GA).
This update allows administrators to opt in to a new passkey profiles experience that supports group-based passkey configurations and introduces a new passkeyType property.
The passkeyType property enables admins to configure:
- Device-bound passkeys
- Synced passkeys
- Both
If a tenant does not opt in to passkey profiles during the initial rollout window, the new schema will be automatically enabled at the date range specified below. When this occurs:
- Existing Passkey (FIDO2) authentication method configurations will be moved into a Default passkey profile.
- The passkeyType value will be set based on the tenant's current attestation settings.
- For tenants that have synced passkeys enabled, Microsoft-managed registration campaigns will update to target passkeys.
𝐖𝐡𝐞𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐰𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐡𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐞𝐧:
- General Availability (Worldwide): Rollout begins in early March 2026 and is expected to complete by late March 2026.
- General Availability (GCC, GCC High, and DoD): Rollout begins in early April 2026 and is expected to complete by late April 2026.
𝐖𝐡𝐨 𝐢𝐬 𝐚𝐟𝐟𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐞𝐝:
All Microsoft Entra ID tenants.
𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐰𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐡𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐞𝐧:
If you have not opted in to passkey profiles by your automatic enablement period, your tenant will be migrated to passkey profiles.
𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐜𝐚𝐧 𝐝𝐨 𝐭𝐨 𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐞:
If you want a configuration different from the migration defaults, review the timeline above and opt in to passkey profiles before your tenant's automatic enablement window begins. Then configure the Default passkey profile's passkeyType to your preferred values.
Communicate upcoming changes to your helpdesk or security teams.

BREAKING: Xbox chief Phil Spencer is leaving Microsoft. Xbox president Sarah Bond is also leaving Microsoft, in what is a major shakeup to the management of Xbox. All the details on these HUGE Xbox changes here 👇 https://t.co/2kacr06aUq
Microsoft is auto-enabling passkeys in March 2026.
No opt-in required.
If you don’t configure it first… your tenant gets the defaults.
I sat down with Microsofty Security MVPs @DanielatOCN and @WelkasWorld.
We break down:
1️⃣ Passkey Profiles Are Becoming the Default
→ Starting March 2026:
→ Passkey profiles will be auto-enabled
→ Tenants that haven’t configured profiles will be migrated
→ Registration campaigns will shift from Authenticator-first to passkey-first
2️⃣ Source of Authority Conversion Is Finally GA
For years, admins used messy delete-and-restore hacks to convert synced users to cloud-only.
→ Now it’s officially supported.
→ You can convert individual users from on-premises authority to cloud-managed — without breaking hybrid entirely.
Why this matters:
→ Easier M&A transitions
→ Full access to Entra ID Governance features
→ Cleaner lifecycle management
→ Reduced dependency on legacy infrastructure

3️⃣ App Registration Deactivation (A Quietly Powerful Feature)
→ Microsoft added the ability to deactivate app registrations.
→ Instead of deleting an app (and losing configuration), you can now:
→ Immediately stop token issuance
→ Preserve metadata and permissions
→ Investigate safely
→ For incident response scenarios — especially in multi-tenant or MSP environments — this is a big step forward.
4️⃣ Conditional Access Behavior Changes
→ There’s also a change impacting tenants with Conditional Access policies targeting “All resources” but excluding certain apps.
→ Previously, certain minimal-scope apps could bypass enforcement under specific conditions.
→ That loophole is closing.
5️⃣ Sync Security Hardening (Hard Match Protection)
→ Microsoft is adding additional validation to protect against malicious hard matching scenarios in hybrid environments.
→ This reduces the risk of identity takeover via manipulated on-prem objects.
→ It’s automatic — but important to understand if you manage hybrid identity or MSP transitions.

"Apple's long-planned upgrade to Siri has run into snags during testing in recent weeks, potentially pushing back the release of several highly anticipated functions.
After planning to include the new capabilities in iOS 26.4, Apple is now working to spread them out over future versions.
That would mean possibly postponing at least some features until at least iOS 26.5, due in May, and iOS 27, which comes out in September.
