@s_lauermann@skominers Academia is an inheritable collective. He seems to imply that if one does not know something to every detail, then no external past or present knowledge makes up for it, and so it is not human understanding, which is silly.
AI does not need to necessarily contradict that.
@JuliusRocaesar@eghbal_ryn You would already do that on a sub problem. for example if you need Matlab to numerically estimate some integral, you would just write the result without citing matlab. Similarly AI doesn’t need to be cited at all, let alone given authorship.
@michael_timbs If you can’t get a value via function, irreducibility says to compute them you need to simulate n steps into the future. E.g chaotic systems, triple inverted pendulum, diff eqs with no closed form etc.
@michael_timbs Predict = calculations you can write functions for (e.g. first order linear diff eq, two body orbits). You don’t need computers here, only math. You can “compute” these by hand.
@fallacysp0tter@MurrayHillGuy1 Lmao there is zero evidence. A huge legal windfall if she decides to take advantage of it. If I were her I would also leave things open to see which fucking morons take the bait.
Not everyone goes to an Ivy League to get gangbanged. Some are sharks
@t7_linda Wasn’t going to happen: it sounds like tridelt also took the reputational hit and so her sorority sisters tried to convince her it wasn’t consensual
@FB2200874312818 @itsolelehmann Both cgi and ai movies which you’ve described are still mostly shit when it comes to portraying any kind of human emotion
@dhh A great way to turn this around is to have billionaires control AI, convince everybody else superintelligence is going to destroy all jobs, commit omnicide while annihilating all human endeavor, and finally have them capture regulation. Fantastic plan there
