Some leaders make promises before elections. Great leaders fulfill those promises after coming to power.

Once again, our leader, People's CM Vijay, has proved that he never makes promises just for applause. If he gives his word, he goes to every extent possible to fulfill it.

Many of us still remember his speech at the Ambedkar Book Launch, where he warned the DMK not to rely on alliance arithmetic, saying that their alliance calculations would eventually become zero.

Today, those words have become a reality.

The very parties that were once part of the DMK alliance have now extended their support to our leader, People's CM Vijay.

Everyone knows how alliance parties were treated during the DMK regime. They were needed only during elections to secure votes. Once the election was over, they were pushed aside. They were rarely given equal respect, meaningful power-sharing, or important ministerial responsibilities. Most key positions remained within the control of the DMK leadership and its close circle.

Today, it is heartening to see the smiling faces of alliance leaders standing alongside our People's CM Vijay.

The reason is simple—they are receiving the respect and recognition they deserve.

Even before the elections, at TVK's first State Conference, our leader openly promised that any party joining hands with TVK would receive equal respect and fair power-sharing. He didn't stop with words. Today, he has fulfilled that promise by allocating ministerial positions and parliamentary responsibilities to alliance partners.

That is the difference between making a promise and honoring it.

A heartfelt welcome and thank you to all the alliance parties that trusted our People's CM Vijay's leadership and joined hands with TVK:

A Special Task Force constituted by the @TVKVijayHQ government has identified ₹11,526 crore lying unutilised & in many cases dormant in bank accounts belonging to various government departments and local bodies.

The entire amount has now been transferred back to the State Treasury.

To put it in perspective, ₹11,526 crore is a substantial sum even for a state government. The timely identification and recovery of these idle funds reflect a strong focus on fiscal discipline, efficient governance, and prudent financial management.

Rural workers should never become victims of policy changes. Their livelihood must always come first.

Once again, our People's CM Vijay has taken a strong stand to protect the interests of Tamil Nadu's rural population.

In a detailed letter addressed to Hon'ble Prime Minister Narendra Modi, our People's CM Vijay has requested the Union Government to reconsider several provisions of the proposed Viksit Bharat – Guarantee for Rozgar and Ajeevika Mission (Gramin) [VB-GRAMG], which is scheduled to be implemented from 1 July 2026.

The Chief Minister has pointed out that, in its current form, the scheme would impose an additional financial burden of more than ₹5,000 crore on Tamil Nadu under the new fund-sharing pattern.

Some of the key requests made by our People's CM Vijay include:

• Continue 100% Central funding for wage and administrative expenses, while sharing material costs in a 75:25 ratio between the Centre and the State.

• Allow Tamil Nadu to determine its own method for distributing funds among Village Panchayats instead of following a centralized formula that may not reflect local realities.

• Give District Collectors the authority to dynamically declare peak agricultural seasons based on local conditions instead of enforcing a fixed 60-day period every year.

• Extend wage employment support to Tamil Nadu's State Housing Schemes, not just Union housing schemes, to strengthen the government's "Housing for All" mission.

• Empower the State Government to approve convergence of welfare schemes without waiting for individual notifications from the Union Government, reducing administrative delays.

• Most importantly, continue the rural employment programme in the name of Mahatma Gandhi, preserving the legacy and public goodwill associated with the scheme.

I appreciate our People's CM Vijay for standing up for the rights of rural workers instead of remaining silent. These suggestions are not political demands—they are practical recommendations aimed at protecting employment, reducing financial pressure on the State, and ensuring that rural development programmes continue without disruption.

A government that speaks up for its farmers, labourers, and rural communities is a government that truly understands the needs of its people.
