No, hombre…
It’s incredible how bias clouds people’s judgment.
I’ve genuinely lost hundreds of followers these last weeks just for expressing my admiration for Cristiano Ronaldo.
One comment I always find bizarre is, “How can you be a Totti fan and a Ronaldo fan?” My answer is simple: “Cause I can?”
“But Totti chose loyalty over fame, glory and money, while Ronaldo is an arrogant egomaniac who thinks he’s the best!”
The same Totti who pretty much thinks only Maradona was better than him. The same Totti who wanted a director’s role at Roma despite never completing a single course. The same Totti who believed he could make a Serie A return at 48.
What an arrogant person this Totti guy is huh?
No, he is not.
I’m the person who spends the most time in the world consuming hours of Totti content every single day.
I’ve spent well into four figures acquiring full matches simply because I love watching him play and because I want to change the wider perception of just how good he really was.
I’m literally obsessed with Totti.
That doesn’t mean I have to pretend he was a flawless human being.
Just because I love Totti, the long hair, the low socks and the vintage football, doesn’t mean I can’t also admire Cristiano Ronaldo.
The idea that elite athletes don’t have enormous egos is one of the biggest misconceptions held by people who have never competed at a high level.
Every athlete who reaches that level believes they’re the best and you have to be that way in order to survive.
The inconsistency is what fascinates me.
Someone will say they prefer Messi over Ronaldo because Messi is a “humble boy just enjoying football” while Ronaldo is a “crying prima donna,” yet their favourite basketball player is Michael Jordan or Kobe Bryant, two of the most ruthless, ego-driven competitors sport has ever seen (as well as being dicks to their own teammates).
Or the same person will say they prefer Messi to Ronaldo because he’s a purer footballer and better all around while also at the same time ignores the same logic he built his argument on and prefers Salah over Hazard because of Salah’s ruthless efficiency and numbers.
It’s perfectly fine to prefer one player over another for valid footballing reasons.
What I find strange is when personality arguments are applied selectively depending on who people already like.
Football fans are nothing but pretentious actors.
Messi's football legacy becomes sketchier with every passing day. What do you mean he has not won anything without support from higher ups.
When a player can only perform extraordinarily under extraordinary conditions then he is an ordinary player.
Two of his Champions League titles featured the most controversial matches.
Barca vs Arsenal (Final)
Barca vs Chelsea (Semi final)
His league dominance is currently shadowed with unprecedented corruption in the Nergeira case.
That's at least 50% of what he has ever won.
The Copa America after failing severally to Sanchez and threatening retirement, the tournament's calendar was revised for him.
The WC which was meant to be his crowning moment has been dubbed as the most controversial one ever won.
Why would a player of said caliber have these kind of taints on his career.
Eventually, everyone will admit what majority already know. To win at the expense of others so brazenly diminishes everything that you do.
Messi fans know this and they will admit it soon enough
A lot of talented traders are putting in the work but still lack one key ingredient - CAPITAL‼️
And the truth is, limited capital delays progress for many people with real potential.
That changes this week.
I’ll be giving away some Stellar accounts to deserving traders. 🚀

America…?
A moral compass…?
*clears throat*
The United States was built on genocide and ethnic cleansing
In 1898 it declared itself a ‘global power’ by crushing independence movements in the Philippines, killing at least 200k Filipino civilians
From 1912 to 1933 it occupied Nicaragua, violently suppressing nationalist movements
From 1915 to 1934 it invaded and occupied Haiti, essentially legalising slave labour
From 1916 to 1924 it done the same to the Dominican Republic
In 1945 it needlessly dropped two atomic bombs on civilians days before they knew Japan was to surrender, in a ‘display of strength’ to the Soviets
In 1953 it overthrew Iran’s democracy in an act of pure self-interest
In 1954 it overthrew Guatemala’s democracy leading to decades of violence
In 1965 it backed mass killings in Indonesia, enabling the murder of up to a million people
In the 1960’s and 1970’s it carpet-bombed Vietnam, killed millions, and poisoned the land
From 1969 to 1973 it also carpet-bombed Cambodia with similar effects
In 1973 it installed a dictatorship in Chile through a military coup
From 1979 to 1989 it armed and funded Afghan militias, destabilising the country for decades
In the 1990s it strangled Iraq with sanctions, devastating millions
In 2003 it invaded Iraq on a lie, leading to a million dead
In 2011 it destroyed Libya, turning a functioning state into a failed one where slave markets now exist
In the 2020s it continues unabated, funding and arming the Gaza genocide and more atrocities across the Middle East
This is not even close to an exhaustive list of US crimes
So, what’s very, very important to understand is not that the United States has lost its ‘moral compass’ — it’s that it’s lost its ability to rewrite history in real time because the internet exists
It has lost total control of the narrative
Or, in short, now we’re able to see what it really is, and always has been
