Those floods came. The building was damaged. By God’s grace there was no casualty.
I was told that the owner has now sold it to a junk contractor who will demolish it and sell the material — for eleven crore rupees, as reported.
This is not just one hotel. It is what happens when we ignore natural drainage, fragile slopes and disaster history for short-term tourism revenue.
