Interesting concept, but not for me. I believe the words, punctuation—and really the entire book—should be invisible, serving only to let the story shine through. My hope is for my readers to disappear completely into the world I’ve created, and that means removing anything that might get in their way. Introducing a new skill they have to learn creates a barrier to immersion. It’s like redesigning a computer’s user interface—more novelty, less flow. But interesting, nonetheless.
