@olympicbean@jordankobewade7 I see Scott Kacsmar has decided to broaden his horizons and offer stupid basketball takes to go along with his stupid football opinions.
the thing about me is that everything George Lucas thought was the COOLEST THING EVER in 1999 is still and always will be the COOLEST THING EVER to me.
82-0 might be fun for some of you, but for True & Ethical appreciators of defense, glue guys, vibes, grinders, and “he just does the little things” guys, this game is actually a minor form of torture
@mjpostdaily The first I remember is “Will You Be There” because of Free Willy, but randomly deciding to grab my parents’ copy of Thriller to listen on my cd player while riding along on a family vacation is where the lifelong fandom began.
@mjfam1990128144 That incident unfairly defined the latter chapters of his life and beyond, and it seems dehumanizing to expect him not to be preoccupied with his he situation and just keep churning out impersonal hits.
@mjfam1990128144 I don’t disagree generally, but I think it’s one thing to say he shouldn’t have dignified tabloid garbage with his attention and quite another to expect him to ignore it and move on when he was accused of the most heinous crime imaginable.
@KwikWarren That it’s executive produced by James Goldston, who produced the BS Martin Bashir documentary in 2003, tells me all I need to know about this sensationalist cash-grab trash
@hadrianmarcus@jeramyjett@consequence Are you talking about the incident where he and McCartney were among an audience with the queen, and he randomly brought along a copy of Sgt. Pepper, asked for an autograph, and then lacked so much self-awareness that he thought that HE looked good in retelling the story?
@KwikWarren I know the movie is the catalyst, but I also think it speaks to his greatness that this chart action is happening three weeks after its premiere. The movie made people curious, but the music itself is capturing yet another generation. It’s just so exciting!
@KwikWarren I adore MJ and the Beatles. I love the Sgt. Pepper cover, and Dangerous’ puts me in the mind of it and should be considered every bit as iconic (in my opinion).
@KwikWarren A crazy fact that sticks with me regarding his fame, is that when he passed away, Google initially thought there was a massive cyberattack because of the surge in people going online to read about the situation.
