@ActiveTravelNet @cathymediawales If we reported a motorist drove into that wall, and we get a police statement saying a man died in the crash and an inquest later shows he blacked out at the wheel before the crash, our reporting would have fundamentally been wrong and deeply insulting to his memory and family
@ActiveTravelNet @cathymediawales Hi, at this stage in any reporting we wouldn’t state anything more than has been confirmed by the emergency services. Although it’s highly unlikely, there have been incidents involving handbrakes, drivers who blacked out, cars being knocked from behind into buildings.
The length of waits in the Welsh NHS are truly staggering.
The Welsh Government has serious questions to answer.
In Wales there are 60,000 waits of over 2 years for treatment.
In England there are 200.
This takes some unpacking but it has a horrible human cost.

Our most famous and beautiful mountain here in Switzerland, the Matterhorn, was illuminated with the Union Jack, in honour of Queen Elizabeth the Second. May she rest in peace! 🤍🤍
Read this story till the end. During WWII some children were making diaries from concentration camps & occupied cities by nazis. History is repeating. This is a diary of Katya, a 16 years old girl from Mariupol, whose mother died in the basement👇😢
I've translated a fascinating report by the very well-sourced Russian journalist @faridaily_ about what senior Russian officials think of the invasion. Haven't seen this kind of information anywhere else. https://t.co/IxhqnrGdb3
Air pollution kills an estimated ten million people each year. But it does much more than that, too. A long thread on what it means that more than 90 percent of the world's population is breathing dangerously polluted air. (1/x) https://t.co/SvXxTviwl0
Exciting day today.
I have won a couple of awards at the Regional Press Awards.
The first was Data Journalist of the Year.
Second was Scoop of the Year which I won jointly with my colleague @davegjames1 for our investigation on Covid in care homes.

There's a consensus the Welsh Gov handled the pandemic incredibly well.
But there're very serious questions for them to answer with many mistakes made.
Despite this there will be no Welsh inquiry!?
I wrote this about why Wales needs its own inquiry:
