@GustavS@danielcberk@Spotify I left Spotify after >12 years exactly because of this. The playlist trick and private listening didn't matter; Discover Weekly was all Disney, Wiggles, and nursery rhymes. I'm on Apple Music now, and you'll be pleased to know its discovery algorithm is nonexistent. Win me back?
@SnazzyLabs @jaw1292464 @theo I’m in a similar boat, have both, prefer Codex for anything backend and really tough bugs are just magically solved by it; but the reason I pay for both is UIs. Swift, JS, etc. is just frustrating with codex. Even with the crazy scaffolding loops we’ve built it’s just bad.
@hive_echo@lfegray Yeah, logically easy to port, but Mac only as it gave me an excuse to learn a little about metal. The metal backend does 2M seeds/s on an M4 Pro but the approach would be easily replicated elsewhere.
@embirico@sama No problem and the issue I believe is that it seems to invoke the system git binaries, fails due to sandbox permissions, and concludes Git is unavailable. Eventually with enough steering it will use the tools, but it's sometimes 2 or 3 turns to convice it.
@embirico/@sama codex-cli is spectacular, seriously incredible. But I'll be damned if I can get it to use Git reliably.
"I don’t have any Git-specific helper tools available in this environment"
▌ yes, you do.
