#MUNLEE – 54’ VAR OVERTURN
After VAR review, the referee issued a red card to Martínez for violent conduct.
Referee announcement: “After review, Manchester United 6 is guilty of pulling his hair - violent conduct. Final decision is red card.”
Even calling it a decision is a stretch.
“Decision” implies there was a menu of legitimate options, and he picked the one that just happened to disadvantage Hamilton.
But that’s not what happened.
The rules were clear: either lapped cars stayed in place, or they could unlap and then the safety car had to come in at the end of the following lap. Either way, outcome was a near-certain win for Hamilton.
Then he made up a new choice, outside of the rules: selective unlapping of only the cars in front of Verstappen, and safety car in the same lap, which made it a near-certain win for Verstappen.
I wish everyone who posts outrageporn would include #outrageporn so that I could mute it.
Sorry folks, I probably don’t care about what is bothering you.
#BOUMUN – 67’
The referee’s call of no penalty for a challenge by Truffert was checked and confirmed by VAR – with it deemed the contact was not sufficient for a foul.
@F1Help Hello there!
The live timing in the app highlights the bottom 5 being knocked out in Q1, instead of the bottom 6, and then the bottom 4 in Q2 🐞
…I now realise the times are truncated, not rounded.
So a gap of 6.499 is shown as 6.4 ☹️
Still, happy to say that the app and F1TV feed are stable, great job for a first race of the season 👍
Thank goodness for @f1multiviewer 🙂
