Ghostwriter & brand consultant for designers ➜ building the personal brand that transitions talented designers from peanut paying to world class clients
i remember my roommate showing me thread contests I could apply for simply by writing about web3 projects.
easy money - i{we} thought.
so I gave it my first shot.
and of course, I lost.
i kept on applying for more till my submissions were directly proportional to my Losses.
unfortunately, this was my brutal introduction to this world called - "Web3"
after many trials and losses so painful to bear, I stepped back to understand what 'writing' and crafting threads truly meant.
and when I gained enough knowledge to start again, I applied for another contest.
fortunately, I won.
first $30 bagged by my hard work.
frankly speaking, it was the best thing that happened to me that season.
because as a student who didn't have any extra source of income asides: 'dad, I need money.' - this meant a lot.
so I applied for more. lost a bunch and won a few.
but I realized that thread contests wasn't a sustainable career path.
truth is, we came to web3 and the online space for freedom and unlimited wealth.
not for someone who probably has a biased judgement to decide if they pay me after writing about them.
so by march 2026, I pivoted to ghostwriting.
you see, ghostwriting for me was more than just 'writing', rather it meant { still means } being a client's business consultant.
i wanted to be the go to guy that builds world class brands that yields income, relationships and a name that lasts.
still trying to wrap my head around this, I explored ghostwriting for Depin founders.
i ventured into this after seeing that a handful of these founders needed revenue but never seemed to know that their personal brands can contribute a good fraction of their revenue...
till date many depin founders still don't believe the effectiveness of a personal brand.
and after a long inner review, I asked myself if it's really worth the effort trying to convince these founders and my answer was - No.
so I moved to an industry where the person's there can't 'survive' without a social presence.
one where the effects of a good personal brand separates the highest earners from the peanut jobbers.
in Depin, a founder can still get funding through vcs that don't check social profiles, but in this new industry ?
no one personnel would stand the test of time without a personal brand.
➨ the design industry.
this decision was inspired and fueled by someone I respect so much in the space.
on my first call with him, I remember how he made me realize that there are designers out there with 10years + experience. heavily talented!
yet they charge low fees or never seal deals because they aren't positioned well.
what has helped other designers escape this bubble is what I'll be offering to designers.
lets cook.
@designtrev choosing not to bombard people with so much when they land on the page is a good way to earn their subscription.
good stuff gee, keep discovering.
you have so much potential.
I've observed you.
seen the way you write.
noticed your level of activity In the community, and I can tell that you're talented.
but you see, you can have so much talent and be channeling it towards the wrong things.
> these were the words from a 30min clarity call I had with a big chad when I felt lost.
in 30minutes he spotted out a clear reason why I'd been stuck for so long.
after the call, I knew I was my own problem.
though i didn't have a full direction on how to go about the solution, I had a clear way to start.
which was - tuning my attention fully to what was career worthy.
came into the online space as a thread contest hunter.
picked interest in ghostwriting so I learnt the art and business of it
and then I started ghostwriting for Depin founders.
but after the clarity call which happened early this month, i knew It was time to move into building personal brands for designers.
why ?
> designers won't stand the test of time without a personal brand.
> despite this fact, very few designers have a personal brand
> designers struggle so much with balancing work and keeping their personal brand alive.
i spent the past month understanding how to position excellently in this new industry.
carefully studied the brands of designers who have escaped the underpaid gigs bubble.
i can confidently say that I'm ready to show designers how to take advantage of their personal brands.
just like a wide number of chads here, the early stage of my presence in this space was for my discovery.
made a lot of mistakes while trying to really get to know what to stand with.
mistakes like writing for everyone, farming thread contests{ without properly understanding how to even write }, using engagement as my only win metric, follow for follow and sticking to the wrong niche.
the list goes on.
but now I know better.
better than someone who refused to take the first step.
you have so much potential.
I've observed you.
seen the way you write.
noticed your level of activity In the community, and I can tell that you're talented.
but you see, you can have so much talent and be channeling it towards the wrong things.

@Caveman0X@arguedotfun I love how the winner isn't picked based on the size of the pool but on the quality of the argument.
project seems to be a banger.
@Ortho_Dox__ some people would disagree with this topic. but fact remains fact.
you're right, Favour.
double down on one thing and build expressions of it when it's time.
