@Aiswarya_Sankar Are you saying big fixes doesn't reach the users? And it's not filed under "shipped product"? I am curious how much of your user requests/feedback is actually new features vs bug fixes and UX problems (that would file under rework)...
Imagine every pixel on your screen, streamed live directly from a model. No HTML, no layout engine, no code. Just exactly what you want to see.
@eddiejiao_obj, @drewocarr and I built a prototype to see how this could actually work, and set out to make it real. We're calling it Flipbook. (1/5)
Just fixed a bug instead of telling an AI how to do it. A few months ago this would still have been "just another bugfix". Now it's called "Traditional Craftsmanship". I feel so special right now....
The question that gets GPT-5's panties in a bunch:
it's hilarious, works on every language. And the more you talk about it the more chaos it creates hahahaha.

That's an advice that "on paper" seems to make total sense but in practice it doesn't work in maybe 90% of the cases. It ignores so many factors that are super important for flow state and even on how taxing it is to do it at night. I don't say it won't work for you, but if it does (to the same extent that "midnight" flow does to others) then it is because you have a rare combination of factors that are out of control (or very very hard to control) for most people. I don't want to extend too much on this answer but Im happy to discuss this in detail if it makes sense. This answer is just to avoid people from feeling bad thinking that they are "doing it wrong". It's not that straight forward.
What I did and I am very happy with so far was to get one extra VPS, install coolify on it and from there install Beszel and connect all the others to it. You'll be able not only to monitor all the servers but you can also one click install a gazillion services to try out. Like uptime etc. it automatically manages a reverse proxy and subdomains for all the monitoring services etc... I was expecting a pain but till now (only switched to it a few months ago)... Only had to spend about 20 mins setting everything up.
@levelsio@robj3d3@Hetzner_Online@digitalocean@TermiusHQ@Anthropic You should try hetzner server auction. 28 EUR a month you can get a full machine, works a exactly like their VPSs but you get i7 CPUs, a ton of RAM,1 or even 2Tb SSDs you can run a bunch of stuff on it.
@jack Thought it was supposed to be local and private. How do you get this telemetry? From app downloads? Is there a way to download the app without giving away any information?
Exactly! Embeddings would become the parallel to the social network "algorithm" so that would become a disputed place, and probably a moat/differentiator for the AI providers. I don't think they would easily give up control/visibility over it. But the same happens with the ad recommendation and social network algos these days and they still move billions.
"Fairly" is the slippery slope. But the situation now is that they are not compensated at all, and they are seeing their industry shift hard. So creating a business model that would compensate them (even if not enough) would create a cooperative infrastructure to move forward. What do you think?
@shantell_martin Would also love to hear your take on this, you have a lot of skin in the game, feel free to call out any short-sightedness. I just want to contribute to the discussion and need input to be able to think further.

@clairesilver Would love your opinion ❤️ As an artist that embraces AI.

The 5 stages of AI replacement grief from the moment you truly realize the potential.
Denial:
"AI will never do X, only humans can do that, so we'll never be replaced."
Anger:
"AI is evil and it will destroy the world! It should be banned for ever. I will live a life without AI"
Bargaining:
"What if I sue all AI companies for using my data to train their models? They will surely be stopped in their tracks!"
Depression:
"This world sucks, I feel useless... I want the 90s back. Will ChatGPT my job's tasks away and just watch "Friends" the rest of the day."
Acceptance:
"Independently of what AI does, in our society, competition and cooperation is about Humans. We don't know how to function without it. So change is here and I will adapt, fight and push for my contribution to be useful to the world. There is a place for me in this world, let's find it!"
