@HjRobins Personally I think the reality (since he’s had the Doctor use a great big gun) is that he didn’t want any Harry Potter comparisons. Rather than a gun, the sonic (and how each Doctor poses with it) resembles more a wand than a gun.
@Tales_TimeLord The Doctor is an ancient higher being. Their take on historical figures is going to be from a far wider perspective than humans can fathom.
@243_cal Plenty of heterosexual adoptive parents have abused their children. Same with step parents and foster parents. Oh, and family members. This crime is particularly vile beyond imagining but it doesn’t mean all gay couples should be tarred with the same brush.
@DoctorWhoPN I think it was decided before that. Anniversary day last year, we’re all waiting for the tiniest sliver of news and he posts a video of his boy toy mincing around the TARDIS. By that stage he knew it was over and didn’t give a sh@t.
@Tales_TimeLord The balance is wrong. Why would this woman travel with this man? It doesn’t work. Think about Pertwee - he could be stubborn and unlikeable but you sensed Jo loved him and you could understand why. You can’t understand why Peri would like Six and these scenes highlight this.
@BadWilf I don’t think it was anything to do with schedules. I think it was the BBC wondering why sink more money into more cringe, why not just have a break as they get a new team in.
@TheGriftReport She’s long outstayed her welcome on TV screens. She’s beyond a parody of herself now and needs to be pensioned off for good. Invest in new talent rather than flogging a dead horse.
@timelesschild I think a key issue for me is that the Doctor was just a bloke. I didn’t feel the quirkiness or the eccentricity of the Doctor and his outfits were just too ordinary.
