MULTI-AGENCY EFFORTS DRIVE VOLUNTARY FIREARM SURRENDER IN NAROK COUNTY

The ongoing multi-agency security operations in Narok County continue to bear fruit, reflecting the growing co-operation between security agencies and members of the public in the fight against crime and insecurity in the area.

Yesterday, a multi-agency security team received two illegal firearms, together with ammunition, that were voluntarily surrendered by members of the public from Angata Barrikoi, Narok County. The surrender marks another significant milestone in ongoing efforts to restore peace, enhance public safety, and eliminate illegal weapons from communities.

The recovery of the firearms contributes significantly to reducing the threat posed by illegal weapons, preventing their potential use in criminal activities, and fostering a safer environment for residents to pursue their daily socio-economic activities without fear.

Individuals who still possess illegal firearms are encouraged to take advantage of the ongoing disarmament efforts and surrender them to the nearest police station.

The National Police Service remains committed to sustaining security operations, co-ordinating with other agencies, and engaging communities to ensure that all residents continue to enjoy a secure environment founded on partnership, trust, and shared responsibility.
