@type1bri I’ve taken advantage of the vax opportunities our chronic condition has provided. I’m not likely to burst into flames if exposed to a virus, and in fact seem to mostly shrug them off. As a world traveller this may be related to my history of a broad spectrum of vaccinations. 3/3
@type1bri I was aware of lots of media about statins and resisted my then endo’s repeated suggestions. He only had “shown to reduce risks” and “it’s recommended”.
A few years later I was diagnosed with cardiac atherosclerosis and had no choice. So I did more research. 1/3
@type1bri On examination most of the statin scare stories are furphies. The remainder are easily monitored/measured. Plus I had not been interpreting my lipids stats right.
A statin seems to have helped me a lot, and I wonder how much better it would have been if I started earlier. 2/3
@TheRhodri We see “per serving” and “per 100g” columns.
In your example hopefully it showed “8 servings per pack” and a serving size of 40g, but noooo.
I’ve seen too many drinks (not necessarily in resealable containers) with “servings per pack: 1.7”. The list of stupidity goes on…
@txdiabetic Welcome to the 21st Century!
Not having to get your pump out all the time does change the pump experience, and how you wear your pump. My pumps have been hidden away under my clothes for years, so it was frustrating experimenting with a t:slim recently.
@flippper1@sotonDSN@DrSelvarajah It’s normal and Just Happens. After 38y of T1D I went so far as to make it normal for me. I now no longer have to bolus or even declare food to my loop.
@rachelbaxendale "For the record" you clearly document your repeated questions/assertments about things that have not happened? Well done for documenting that (and wasting everyone's time).
