Notion is currently the best multiplayer AI platform and it's not particularly close. This includes anything Anthropic and OpenAI have built.
humans 🤝 agents 🤝 humans
Coding agents are everywhere now, so Notion's primitives are going lower-level and more general.
We just shipped a new concept called Workers – it's a hosted compute sandbox with convenient APIs for:
- Sync: 2-way sync a Notion database with any external data source
- Tools: build secure custom tools for your agents to connect to any external system
- Webhooks: expose an endpoint any external service can call
More soon!
🥁 Sync any data source. Whatever context you need can now live in Notion.
Our new database sync (powered by Workers) runs on our infrastructure and lets you sync any data source with an API into a Notion database.
Sync customer data from Salesforce to build detailed reports. Or connect Strava and Spotify data to curate the perfect running playlist.
BIG one for devs today. Introducing the Notion Developer Platform:
- Notion CLI, ntn (Notion in your terminal)
- Workers (run code on Notion's infra)
- Database sync (any data source into Notion)
- Agent tools (build any workflow)
- Webhook triggers (trigger Notion from any app)
- External Agents API (bring any agent into Notion)
- Notion Agents SDK (use Notion Agents anywhere)
- …and a bunch more API improvements
And soon, you won't need to be a developer to build on Notion. Your agent will be one for you.
Introducing: the Notion Developer Platform
New building blocks that help you (and your coding agents) sync any data source, build any tool, and orchestrate any agent.

Introducing Agent Orchestration in Notion 🎼
Imagine a Decagon ticket routes to your coding agent, which proposes a fix and loops your team in to approve. That’s no longer a dream.
Now, anyone can work with agents in Notion, not just engineers.
Closed Q1 last week. Revenue is accelerating for the 7th straight quarter. AI now counts for 60% of our business. Cash flow positive.
The transition from software to AI is not easy, but can be done! I am proud of our teams!
2 weeks ago my team and I spent most of our time in the Claude desktop app trying to collaborate on Claude projects.
As I started dabbling in Notion AI agents, I quickly realized this was the software layer that was missing between myself, my team, and AI.
We were already building our knowledge base and skills inside of Notion databases because I think it has the best UI for interacting with your data from a human standpoint.
But trying to build and maintain Claude projects for a team quickly became a mess.
Notion gives us the ability to build specialized agents we can then share with others in our departments.
The fact these agents can also run on automated triggers and schedules is another massive improvement over the Claude app.
Finally, I've actually been experiencing better results using GPT 5.5 in Notion than Opus 4.7.
What I love about this is I feel like Notion gives you the flexibility to bounce between models depending on which model is performing the best any given day.
@mlmanapat@ivanhzhao@NotionHQ I was going to say… that’s not me at my desk!! 😂
Congrats MLM! I hope you and your team are making the most of your proximity to Sightglass ☕️
@bryan_johnson@bryan_johnson if your temperate keeps rising after you exit the sauna by ~2 deg - wouldn’t your body reach the desired temperature if you had left the sauna after 20 min?
@NotionHQ lets teams delegate work to Claude directly inside their workspace. Dozens of tasks run in parallel, and whole teams collaborate on the outputs. Available now in private alpha: https://t.co/MAOt7pjDnf

I love this perspective on AI from @ivanhzhao and @NotionHQ (and their video).
Ivan thinks from first principles, which often leads him to take thoughtful, contrarian positions. This is another great example of his thought leadership on productivity.
Here’s to more of us thinking deeply and building intentionally, together 🥂
The loudest story about AI is a lonely one. One person with an army of chatbots. Other humans are friction.
That gets the future wrong. The best things aren’t built alone.
In a moment of change, we want to remind the world (and ourselves) what Notion stands for:
— Think Together

Top 10 most used AI products in the world. Notion is one of only 3 that didn’t start as an AI company.
Top 10 fastest growing software vendors. Notion is one of only 2 that didn’t start as an AI company.
The last three years have been a full company reinvention. New raw materials, new product surface areas, new way of thinking about what we are.
The battle to reinvent @NotionHQ has been the challenge and privilege of a lifetime.
I wish I didn’t care about scoreboards like this. Maybe it comes from growing up playing sports where rankings and titles were the final judge. Or maybe it’s just human nature.
Either way the recognition matters. Not because we’ve “won” anything or see it as a zero-sum game. But it’s a signal we might be on the right path.
this is actually insane
> be tech guy in australia
> adopt cancer riddled rescue dog, months to live
> not_going_to_give_you_up.mp4
> pay $3,000 to sequence her tumor DNA
> feed it to ChatGPT and AlphaFold
> zero background in biology
> identify mutated proteins, match them to drug targets
> design a custom mRNA cancer vaccine from scratch
> genomics professor is “gobsmacked” that some puppy lover did this on his own
> need ethics approval to administer it
> red tape takes longer than designing the vaccine
> 3 months, finally approved
> drive 10 hours to get rosie her first injection
> tumor halves
> coat gets glossy again
> dog is alive and happy
> professor: “if we can do this for a dog, why aren’t we rolling this out to humans?”
one man with a chatbot, and $3,000 just outperformed the entire pharmaceutical discovery pipeline.
we are going to cure so many diseases.
I dont think people realize how good things are going to get
