Barely tweet these days, but I worked on this cool project this last year (GBA related ofc :P). Check it out! https://t.co/rbxqxQQGvl (also posted about it on my website/blog).
Now back to other stuff! (looking at the PSP on my desk...)
@falco_girgis@frioglobal1 Does the DC have a hardware prefetcher? Asking since usually the simplest HW prefetcher will notice a linear access pattern :D
@carlosotermin David Graeber los llama "flunkies" en su libro Bullshit Jobs. Exactamente lo que comentas sobre tener mucha gente y el status que conlleva. Es curioso como no hemos avanzado desde el feudalismo en ese aspecto.
@lauriewired Is it possible that the "=r" constraint is wrong here? Looking at https://t.co/9e0CAZIWvQ it seems you might wanna use "=b". I'm "new" to powerpc but other arches have similar funny restrictions (like aarch64 where sometimes reg 0 is zero or stack pointer).
@falco_girgis Oh yeah fortran is like that! Oh so double support is there, just the extra matrix-vector instructions do not have support (understandably). Yeah it makew perfect sense. Plus no gamedevs would use double in general, m4-single makes more sense as you said.
@falco_girgis@fjtrujy IIUC the DC has its own "RTOS-like" OS that does context switching for your threads and stuff right? The PSP has a "proper" OS and the Sony OS is responsible for doing the context switching.
Not sure how the TLS pointer works on MIPS (I have some knowledge about x86 TLS only)
@JaimeObregon@_minecogob Muy fan que para darse de alta tengan que rellenar un formulario infumable en vez de clicar un boton. Bonus: tienes un buscador de todas las administraciones con unos codigos muy interesantes.
