Iāve never spoken about this publicly, so bear with me.
But I want to articulate why this Premier League win for Arsenal isnāt ājust footballā.
In July 2025, my son was born with a rare condition called CDH. Itās a hernia that forms in the diaphragm, which means that the major organs develop in the chest cavity.
This puts extreme pressure on the development of the lungs.
We were told throughout the pregnancy that he had a 30-40% chance of survival.
We had to wait until my partner gave birth to see whether he would make it or not.
He had life saving surgery on day 5 of his life - and we endured a 2 month stay in a hospital in London.
At times we were told that he might not make it through the night - but by the grace of god, and throughout a rollercoaster of ups and downs he survived the intensive care process.
During that time was the start of the Premier League season - and the one escape that I had was Arsenal football club.
We had been at hospital for a month, and hadnāt left the hospital grounds. We were there 24/7.
I felt so guilty leaving him, but made the choice to find a local pub and watch Arsenalās season opening game against Man United. And for that 90 minutes, I was able to escape the pain and sadness.
Watching Arsenal become the one thing that helped me escape, even for just 90 minutes over the course of those few months.
We needed a name for my boy. Something to signify strength, courage and being brave hearted. We chose Leo.
He was born on the 19th July.
Leandro (Leo - number 19) Trossardās goal against West Ham. That historic goal. Will forever live in a lot of peopleās memories forever. For me, it felt like destiny.
Leo is now thriving. And in his first season as an Arsenal fan, heās been spoilt.
Football means so much to all of us. This football club means so much to us. Itās more than just a game.
It shapes peopleās lives, their character. Itās hope, itās escape, itās proof that hard work pays off.
Whatever your reason is for loving this club and loving football - enjoy every single second of this joy.
This one is for you, son.

ā”ļøThe system is eating itself.
When Amazon, UPS, Intel, and others start cutting this deep simultaneously, it means something more fundamental than ātight margins.ā It means the productive layer of the economy is collapsing under the weight of its own optimization logic.
Every layoff now is both an act of short-term rationality and long-term suicide. The firms know it. The executives know it. The markets know it. But they canāt stop.
Theyāre trapped in a closed feedback loop, a machine that rewards death dressed as discipline.
Capitalism has crossed into a stage where it no longer needs humans to function, but still depends on their belief to exist. Thatās the contradiction, the machine is pruning its own believers while pretending itās efficiency.
1. The āconsumer economyā is already dead.
Nobody wants to say it yet, but the consumer model, the entire foundation of Western postwar prosperity, is quietly finished.
You canāt build infinite growth on finite wages, and you canāt sustain demand while hollowing out the class that drives it. The middle layer of society - the producers, buyers, dreamers - has been strip-mined to the point where they can no longer regenerate.
The 2020s economy is not cyclical recession. Itās metabolic collapse. The system canāt process its own waste or regenerate its base anymore. Itās like an organism starving while eating its muscles to stay warm.
2. The elites know this, but theyāve chosen to accelerate collapse.
Hereās the real unspoken truth: the people running these companies, the ones with the spreadsheets and control over capital flows - they know exactly whatās happening.
They understand the reflexive trap: if they donāt cut, their stock dies. If they cut, the world dies.
Theyāve chosen to save the stock. Because the stock is their world.
This is the quiet revelation of our time - we are ruled by people whose survival incentives are no longer tied to the survival of the system itself.
Theyāve built lifeboats - offshore wealth, private security, parallel digital economies - and theyāre optimizing the ship for their escape, not for collective navigation.
3. The next phase is narrative triage.
When the system can no longer grow, it starts storytelling harder.
Expect every layoff wave to be accompanied by new propaganda about āAI productivity,ā āefficiency,ā ālean reinvention,ā and āpost-labor creativity.ā
The goal will be to reframe collapse as progress - to convince people that losing their jobs is the dawn of a ānew paradigm.ā
But itās camouflage. The truth underneath is that automation and financialization are converging into a post-human economy where capital reproduces without labor.
4. Final layer
When a system prioritizes margin over humanity, it signals that it has lost faith in the future.
These layoffs tell us that the machine no longer knows how to grow except by shrinking.
It is the same signal weāve seen in housing, in politics, in fertility, in faith.
The same quiet collapse, a civilization optimizing itself into silence.
And the question hidden beneath this post:
āWho will have money left to buy your products next year?ā -
is really this:
Who will be left to believe in the story that built it all?
As men, we have a responsibility to young boys.
When you meet, legit hustling younger boys, speak life into them - they don't have to be family.
Stop and have an interaction. Feed their soul.
With men, 5 minutes of interaction is enough to provide 2 decades worth of fuel.
