Being intentional matters.
If you aren’t, you’ll fall into endless traps of distraction that quietly pull you away from your actual life and the progress you’re working toward.
Every day is a chance to be intentional, not only with your mood, but with your time and your actions. How do you spend your time? Is it sometimes scrolling endlessly between apps like me? Don’t do that, dummy!
How you spend each day is how you spend your life. Compounding matters, and it will compound with or without you. If you truly want to make a difference in your life, your work, your health, and dare I say your happiness, you have to live with intention.
Being intentional doesn’t always mean being productive. Maybe it’s sitting down to watch a movie with your wife. Or setting aside an hour to play video games because you genuinely enjoy it. Sometimes it’s simply being present in the moment, not on your phone at the dinner table, but actually engaged in real conversation with your family.
I’m not intentional enough with my life. I am organized and I plan my weeks out ahead of time. I set up workouts, meetings, and dinners. But I’m not intentional enough with my personal time. I often waste it scrolling my phone or distracting myself with endless internet noise. And at the end of it, I have nothing to show for those hours, just time I’ll never get back.
Be intentional. Even just a little more each day. You’ll never regret it.
@greenytrades I think the next couple months are choppy, rally in March/April because of new Fed Chair and possibly more rate cuts/QE. Then sell off in May and slowly grind down until we are past midterms at which point we slowly climb back up. No huge moves or ATH until 2027..
@farokh 9% increase in price means it was same as last year. Once January hits and credit card debt hits another all time high the recession begins lol
@SahilBloom I always appreciate your fitness/health posts. It’s good motivation as I am really into fitness routines, nutrition and general health. Keep it up!
What’s the reason you ‘don’t want to be led by numbers anymore’?
I’ve had my Whoop for 5 years and love the data and seeing how different things affect my day to day. I don’t get sick often but can see that it’s coming a day before I actually feel sick. And like seeing how hard I’m pushing myself.
@osf_rekt@punk9059 The one thing that I've noticed makes a big difference is just drinking before 5-6p. If I can get 3 hours between my last drink and bed I don't notice a difference in my recovery scores the next day.
@punk9059 Did you notice a difference at all either mentally or physically? I typically drink 1-2 days a week for maybe 5-6 drinks total. And have 1-2 black coffees each morning.
