The walled garden convenience moat is shrinking in the current landscape (personal software making a comeback, good quality RISC-compute on the horizon for perf/watt)

It’s an exciting time with ample choice for level of convenience or a variety of tasteful opinion.

Starting to reconsider the Apple ecosystem now for both phone and compute - first baby steps with Omarchy from @dhh.

Works great out of the box on my 9 year old XPS 9360; and a great experience coming back to Linux after an 8 year journey with Apple for my daily driver.

On the phone side, RCS is good enough for messaging now, but my biggest concern will be the conversation with my family to switch from FaceTime 😬.

iOS 11.2.2 completely broke AirPod connectivity. Connection keeps dropping in and out. Tried factory resets, repairing etc. iPhone is 1m away from me during this time. @AppleSupport help?

@elminiero @firefox @SlackHQ Well aware :) that’s why I was surprised calls weren’t supported on Slack in Firefox 57. Some other bug/dependency I guess.

Impressed with @firefox 57's speed. Unfortunately, Slack calls are not supported on Firefox :( I thought WebRTC / Janus SFU would "just work". Much <3 @SlackHQ, but please catch up quickly!
