This is not evidence-based medicine.
The false narrative that "prescription opioid medications" are not "safe or effective" for chronic non-cancer pain have been rebuked by studies.
The VA's own internal documents agree that this is not evidence-based medicine.
So why are we continuing to needlessly torture and kill our veterans by denying proper, appropriate, clinically indicated pain medications?

Link below to the National Opioid Settlement documents and other settlements against pharmacy chains and distributors!
Given that we now have the overdose death data on SUDORS that shows that only a little over 1% of overdose deaths involve "prescribed medications," but we cannot even know whether those deaths were caused by medications prescribed to the deceased, or, whether that medication was obtained illicitly, I have questions! What did the Attorneys General allege against these distributors and pharmacy chains? Were the allegations factual, or, just more bullshit narratives? Why didn't the distributors and pharmacy chains FIGHT BACK?
The more we dig, the worse it gets. My personal opinion is that the First Wave of this crisis was NOT caused by "prescription opioid medications," but rather by DIVERSION that was still able to happen within the supply chain before the digital age began. This may have also included people selling or sharing their prescriptions, which of course will never be proven. But, given what we now know about the claims about deaths from prescriptions being FALSIFIED, and the current crisis still being blamed on "overprescribing" that is NOT happening, I have questions!
We will need a systems analyst and a full-time staff to review these Court transcripts and Orders to find out WTF happened here, but it is causing WAY too many problems for patients as things stand now!

I started taking B12 in the morning, omega-3 at lunch, and magnesium before bed.
Without exaggerating, my personality changed 180 degrees.
1. B12, in the morning
They would rather see a patient dead, than rx an opioid pain medication. Literally true, not drama or exaggeration. They could turn this around and relieve the pain of millions of pain patients this week, if they wanted, but they are dug in on Precious 'drug war' dogma and cult.
If anyone claims that according to NIH 75% of people with an opioid addiction started with a prescription from their own doctor, they're lying to you. I don't care who they are; they're lying. Period. NIH never said that. Their survey never showed that. At some point the truth will come to light. For those making this claim, show your source.
