NYC really has everything going on right now 😭
• Wildfire smoke hurting air quality
• A parasite outbreak linked to contaminated food
• Legionnaires’ disease cases under investigation
@NYPDnews@NYPDPC@NYCMayor@USCG For clarity re: the "public viewing areas" for the morning aerial show -- are those listed entrances the only places to WATCH? Or just ENTER? In other words, once we enter from, say 24th St, can we station along other parts of the Hudson?
“So often this city comes together because we are forced to, by a moment of tragedy or adversity, what a gift it is to be brought together by pure unfiltered joy.”
NYers are always at their best when things are at their worst — they rise to the occasion and reconnect with their community. Hell, one of my best city memories was the Aug'03 blackout.
This one's different. We get to bond over something really, really wonderful. LGK!! 🏀
"It is different because New York’s mass unifying events tend to imply unbearable tragedy: 9/11, Sandy, Covid.
