@EricMGarcia Amusing post-script: Siouxsie et al didn't know it was a Bob Dylan song and only knew the Julie Driscoll version, which later was better known as the theme for Ab Fab. (Similar to UB40 only knowing the Tony Tribe cover of Red Red Wine w/o knowing it began as a Neil Diamond song.)
@EricMGarcia "Knockin' on Heaven's Door" by GN'R.
Two bonus picks that have asterisks:
"Wanted Man" by Johnny Cash (not really a cover?; written by Dylan but Cash recorded it before Dylan ever did)
"This Wheel's on Fire" by Siouxsie & the Banshees (co-written by Dylan and Danko)
@aseitzwald That faithless elector, Mike Padden, is not only still alive but currently a Washington state Senator (though retiring this year)! Padden was 30 at the time and now is 77.
@DrewSav@JoeBiden White House aides: sir, we have identified a new type of clock that tells the correct time even as it is melting and sliding off a tree branch.
Joe Biden, munching a block of Kerrygold butter: hot damn. We do that?
@OMG_KendallGill @downballotnews Yes, not only are 1-year ACS estimates for populations under 65k unreliable, but they simply aren't made available on the Census website; that is why all the Census data cited in the article is for Clark County (135k) and not Springfield (58k).
@HHH_Report@downballotnews@Taniel I would encourage you to read the entire article; as it unfolds we describe how ACS data is more of a trailing indicator, and turn to other data sources (including Medicaid data) to indicate that the likely number is probably more in the 7,000-10,000 range.
@downballotnews Also going by non-cherry-picked total voting record aggregation (i.e. DW-Nominate) she had the rightmost record of any Progressive caucus member, down near the Blue Dog zone for most of her tenure. (With the exception of her final term; the person who beat her may surprise you!)
I suspect this is, on the balance, good for Dems because this leaves King as the county with the most remaining ballots (though, cumulatively, all remaining small red counties remnants exceed King... but probably by not enough to make up the difference).

We're *elated* to announce our biggest news in the 21 years we've been covering elections: Daily Kos Elections is striking out on its own as an independent site called The Downballot! 🧵https://t.co/AKvsaIPb1o
@mattyglesias Well voters, the funny thing about what can be is that it's better to be unburdened by what has been than to be unburdened by what has never been.
@pandem1cleo@Lemommeringue Also Arkansas County, AR; Hawaii County, HI; Iowa County, IA; New York County, NY; Oklahoma County, OK; and Utah County, UT.
