@avc The point @fredwilson makes about a cap for optimal returns is interesting. Obviously a lot of funds push beyond that, which is not surprising as 2/20 creates a strong incentive for more AUM.
@BGottliebsen Your article in the Australian on energy retail price wars is good, but the one AGL and ORG should really fear is CBA. They have the spend data and great app engagement already. It's an easy cross-sell.
@nickcrocker - I saw your interview on @letterofintent_ - the watch you are looking for is the Garmin Forerunner 245 Music. Leave the phone at home and listen to your @Spotify playlist. 10x better!
@avc Sorry Fred, I disagree. For an LP the net IRR is far more important than cash on cash. Our preference is good IRR over a long period vs great IRR for a short period. The latter just means I need to find another high performing investment, which is not always easy.
@LittleBertie01 @ReclaimAnglesea@PeterDutton_MP When did I suggest politicians shouldn't obey the law? Supreme court judges *must* be impartial. Would you support a high court Justice who indulged in political commentary on Twitter?
@LittleBertie01 @ReclaimAnglesea@PeterDutton_MP Sorry Cat, but I never said it was a slur. I used the word mocking and it's an accurate description of his tone and purpose. My primary concern is an activist judiciary that places themselves above elected representatives.
@1johnhampshire@ReclaimAnglesea@PeterDutton_MP That's a fair point John. My preference would be that the judiciary and senior civil servants kept their opinions on political matters private until after they have retired. I'm probably a bit old fashioned in that way.
@ReclaimAnglesea@PeterDutton_MP Lex Lasry hasn't retired yet. His tweet on January 3rd was clearly mocking Peter Dutton's silly remarks about people being afraid to go out to dinner. Am I missing something?
@ReclaimAnglesea@PeterDutton_MP .@ReclaimAnglesea It's an unedifying spectacle when politicians and the judiciary exchange barbs via the press. I'm not sure I'm comfortable with judges freely mocking politicians, whilst politicians are threatened with contempt proceedings if they voice opinions about judges.
@Vic_Rollison I'll give you an honest answer @Vic_Rollison - it's because we believe in personal responsibility, free markets and small government. I'm not sure the current LNP is doing a very good job of sticking to those values.
@JimHarris@Tesla Sorry @JimHarris - the Tesla is not really disrupting the auto industry. Open your eyes a little bit wider and you'll see the whole picture.
@Kon__K@AusHumanRights@Kon_K - thanks for reminding me why it's important that we reform section 18c of the Racial Discrimination Act. Stopping people from saying stupid things is not a good idea.
@Lasry08 With mandatory retirement from the bench rapidly approaching, perhaps you could move to Tarneit and nominate for pre-selection for the ALP. With your grasp of local issues, you would certainly make an interesting candidate!
